It's crazy that fans who watched the games believe he allowed no sacks or that he couldn't have been called for penalties. There is a difference between being very good and being All Pro every year or HOF worthy.

ZM started his career crazy good and was very deserving of All Pro and talk of a possible HOF career. But his play fell off after a few years and he hasn't been that guy who is going to open holes regardless of who's in front of him or pick up every stunt. I'm sure that is due to age & toll the game takes. I'm not suggesting he doesn't try hard but the name of the game is performance not "try hard".

How many times did we run behind him over the past 3-4 years on a short yardage situation and how many times did we get it? The answer is not a lot and very few. An All Pro should be a difference maker you can count on in those situations. Instead they generally ran behind other players because they know he doesn't get the same movement he used to. All I am saying is look at what's really happening not the image you have from his early career.
Ummm. I focus a lot on OL play when I rewatch games. Martin is still one of if not the best player on this team. With the new scheme coming in. Trust me. You will see a lot of runs behind him and Tyron this season.

You are forgetting we had an OC who used crayon to draw up his run game plans.

I have continually said he is very good and consistent but that isn't HOF level for me. I have no problem with him being listed as one of the top ten, just not #1.

Ok, but regardless how the OC and OL coach do things it ultimately comes down to moving the guy in front of you. Far too often I see a stalemate. I mean for contrast, look at Sunday night. Philly's entire offensive line was just plowing multiple yards down field even when KC was selling out to stop them.

Philthy got barely 3 ypc without hurts bailing them out.
Martin has stood up a lot of good defenders this season, run game was bad for the entire oline i assume due to all the shuffling going on
best one to me is when he stood up Zadarius smith on that pass to pollard in the vikings game.
A somewhat taken for granted thing of his has been his availability, compared to Tyron especially

That’s a solid list……I wish our Qb could have made it somewhere though since he’s gonna be around 20% of the total salary cap hit
Dak is for sure top 10. This is yet another failed attempt by yet OP to bash Dak. Especially his subsequent post saying Rush is #11.

FAIL...lame attempt to still bash Dak.
I am not defending him, as way too many picks that cost games. But your hate toward him is ridiculous as that is all you ever post.
I've not brought him up a single time in this thread, but you have twice.

Maybe you should delete the posts that brings him up for no reason if it bothers you that much.
