Every year Parcells has cut at least 1 veteran player to make room for a young guy who showing good potential. Could it be a starter whose beat out by a backup or a young player/FA new to the team who beats out either a backup or even the starter? Frankly, I doubt any starter we have (except Davis, Pettiti & maybe Singleton) can be beaten out by any backup, FA or draft pick we added to the team so it's probably some backups who could feel the heat.

1. Peterman has to show he is now legit backup OG at both G positions or he's gone IF someone (Cory Proctor) shows he's better,
2. Ellis could be in trouble (no matter his 8 sacks last year) if he's not working his butt off and IF Hatcher and/or Jamison (kid we picked up last year off Atlanta PS (?) looks really, really good. I doubt this will happen but just throwing it in.
3. Keith Davis in trouble if negative info surfaces about accident and if either Pat Watkins or Coleman play FS better then Davis & if Beriault really looks good at SS and IF we've added enough quality STs players to make up for his loss. Again, doubt this will happen given the money we gave him in the spring to keep him.
4. CB/FS Coleman could be in trouble if he not playing too well & Davis & Watkins look really good at FS & Reeves/N.Jones really step it up at CB & Reeves also at FS.
5. Fabini could be in trouble if he doesn't play better then in June minicamp and if Pettiti & Colombo both look real good--combined with surprising good play by 7th rounder OT McQuistan.
6. Don't expect DE Coleman to make this team so his being cut won't be a surprise.
7. RB Tyler Thompson could be in trouble if he doesn't show anything more then last season. He's got to have developed some running moves other then straight ahead and also do better as a blocker in the backfield if he wants to stay.
8. Also think FB Polite in trouble and won't make this team.
9. I think Patrick Crayton is okay so long as he plays like he did earlier in 05 season before his injury; if he continues to play like he did after the injury (maybe injury still affecting him) he's in trouble. But I really think he will be okay and just returned too soon under pressure from Parcells.

Terrance Copper, Kenyon Coleman, and Sean Ryan are in real danger of not making this squad.

Either Scott Shanle or Ryan Fowler will be cut. Stephen Peterman and Tyson Thompson could also be in trouble.

BIGNO! I predict that Fowler or Shanle will be cut. One of them will be gone to make room for Kai Parham who will turn out to be an OUTSTANDING pickup at inside LB.

The name Al Singleton keeps coming to mind, although I hope it doesn't happen.

I actually think Singleton is safe. Will be hard to cut a solid veteran like him at such an important position of the 3-4 defense.

I think Shanle or Fowler are more expendable.

We shall see!!

Actually I think Singleton will be the opening day starter, unless Carpenter has an amazing camp.

It could happen if Carpenter and Boiman have stellar camps.

I still think he is kept for depth and a veteran presence in the linebacking corps.

Coleman, Singleton or Davis (if BP finds out he's not telling the truth about the shooting). I also agree Thompson is on the hot seat if Green turns out to be the returner we are looking for.

Doubt it. His injury last year was a real blow. Fujita was a big drop off.

Has anyone heard how Beriault's recovery from his injury has gone? As I understand it, it's very difficult to come back from the type of injury/surgery that Beriault had, so I was wondering if anyone has heard any info. on him.?.?.?

From what I remember he's 100% and has regained his speed (he's no Deion but still good for a safety).

Had a heck of a pre-season last year, I look forward to see what he can do at 100%

Agree with all.
At least we aren't mentioning Lynn Scott & Tony Dixson this year :)
Polite might be in the list also, but his is by the change in offensive philosophy.

I was reading somewhere that the only player in professional sports to come back after that kind of surgery is Steve Yzerman.

not much of a surprise, but Ellis could be cut if Canty looks good in camp. I could see BP cutting him towards the end of camp to send a message.

I thought he had micro-abrasion surgery on his knee - just like Al Johnson had his rookie season.
