Who will challenge in the NFCE?

Eagles are rebuilding and have a huge question mark at QB.
I keep thinking the Giants are ready to step up and they keep proving me wrong, so I'm not giving them another break until they prove something.
Washington has a team, but an even bigger question mark at QB.
9-8 should be good enough to win this division, so it really comes down to how much are we gonna suck.

I'll bite. Why do you feel this way? They are healthy now. Tyron has addressed his back issues and Collins especially doesn't have a history with injuries.
Every year Tyron has missed games and he's not getting younger or healthier. For Collins to miss the whole season is a red flag, and I don't even recall getting a solid reason for his absence.

Stephen comes out and says these guys are healthy, and I remember him or Jerry or McCarthy saying Collins would be playing yet he never did. Not saying these guys won't play, but I'm Southern...fool me once.. can't let em fool ya again. S/O to George Bush.

Calling The Giants roster "Poo" shows the ignorance of the OP.

They have a head coach the players love and a defensive coordinator on his way to being a head coach soon. They added talent in free agency and have high picks in the draft just like Dallas.

They look to be on their way to success to me and Dallas looks to be heading to a dead end.

To me if Barkely comes back as good as he was before they win the division.

If we can avoid most of the injuries we had last year, we'll in the hunt to win our division. Beyond that, my expectations are very modest. ;)

But they also have the anchor around the neck known as Garrett, who's good for a loss or two on his own as OC. He refuses to adapt. Always has.

Washington will win the division based off defense and enough offense to get by.

Our offense isn't that great unless go down 3 TDs, our opponent has a bottom tier defense, and the opponent starts playing soft once up by those 3 TDs. All these must happen and we still might lose games 35 to 45.

Also, we have not improved one bit on defense and putting on your eggs into the draft is not smart. You just can't count on rookies to make the needed impact.

I wouldn’t sleep on the Giants. They have no edge rusher but they will get some starters back that were injured last year and they still had a good defense.

Their O line is still a hot mess but if they draft a decent O lineman (ie Slater) then they could be dangerous. They’ll have Barkley back and a true #1 WR in Galloday which they haven’t had since Odiva left.

this post is nonsense. His offense helped beat Dallas last year and they should have beat them twice if not for two killer penalties.

Also. Dak Prescott's most important statistic I always see here is his record as a starter. Well Records apply to two people in the Nfl the qb and the head coach. So somehow The record is a positive for Prescott and a negative for Garrett.

More importantly the head coach is in charge in NY and we saw that last year when he stepped in and fired columbo because he did not like how columbo was teaching technique to the lineman. Their rookie left tackle played well after the change.

Dallas defense is terrible and matched up against this new giants offense will probably cause them to struggle also.

one more funny thing I see around here...Dallas defense was terrible because they changed schemes in a year that was highly unusual well so did the giants offense.

I expect Washington to be tough and believe it or not the Giants to be tougher this season. I think the return of Barkley for NY will be a big help to Daniel Jones along with the addition of Kenny Golladay at WR. Should help NY be a lot more competitive this season

Alright boys and girls. The draft is almost here. Dogs days followed by camp thereafter. As I contemplate life after a few Sixpoints I am wondering about the Dallas Cowboys playoff probability. I got them at 90 plus percent. Clearly the alcohol, right? Not so fast. The NFCE is bad. Real bad actually. I think the Eagles are a mess from the top down. The Giants roster is Pooh plus Garrett will continue to be the governor on that offense. They stink. The Commanders are the only team I see as worthy of concern. Solid coach. Good defense. Any improvement on the offense and they are going to be decent to good. The arrow is pointing up there. While I think Jerry is a monumental yutz and his son is the definition of anti nepotism this is a good roster. Despite the Pitts love affair I suspect this draft will yield some helpful defenders. A full year of Gregory is a game changer. Mark my words kids he will be the best defender on the team. I am also high on Gallimore. My point is this DL is going to get after the QB. Good things come from that. Offensively this team is stacked. I have no faith in Tyron but Dak’s mobility will make that OL better. I expect nothing from Fat Boy but 20, our TEs and those wide outs are going to score. I suspect the ST will continue to improve under Fassell.

To the point how does this team not make the playoffs??? I can’t see it. 9 wins is winning this division. Am I nuts???
I think you have been smoking with gregory lol.
A full year of Gregory is a game changer. Mark my words kids he will be the best defender on the team........it is possible , but really he is too dumb
to be the best anything.
I looked in my crystal ball and saw these final standings
Wash 11-6 will break the whole 2 years in a row thing.
Dallas 10-7
NYG 9-8
philly 7-10

I'm guessing, in typical Fitzmagic fashion, that WFT comes out of the gate hot and then slowly fizzles out as the season wears on. Either way I think it boils down to Dallas or WFT.

Yeah I think we're just going to out talent teams this year.

a year after no team could finish above .500...you have 3 of the 4 with winning records...lofty goals

I think the Cowboys take the East because while I do agree D wins championships, a team has to have an O to get to the playoffs and WFT's O is not in the same class with Dallas.

The needle points to the team with the best QB and that is Dallas. The only thing consistent about Fitzpatrick is his inconsistency.

I think 9 wins takes it and I think that's about as many as Dallas can muster. The rest of the division will have a losing record and the Eagles could be the laughing stock on the NFC. They might actually be tanking before the season starts.

It will be close and it will get ugly but I think the O will be good to very good and the D will come up to just below average and that's good enough for the East. However, I wouldn't be making any plans beyond Wild Card weekend.

Washington. Hopefully they don’t land one of the top QBs in this draft somehow, because if they do they’re going to be good.

It was foolish for Washington to release Alex Smith. Keep paying him and tell him the team is his and he doesn’t retire... he likely did because he was only promised to be QB competition for low pay in other locales.

They had the most complete team in the division, but now Fitzpatrick; he’s never been consistent for 16 games. Smith would have won a lot more than 7 if he’d been healthy all year, they were deceptively good.
The coach admitted it made him very nervous to play him.
Another similar injury and the dude might be in a wheelchair.

Barring major injuries

Dallas 10-7
Wash. 10-7 or 9-8
NYG. 6-11
Philly 6-11

Washington's got the best D in the division, so they'll take it most likely. You never know for certain of course, but if I were betting money on it, I would bet Washington.

anyone who even gets it once might be in a wheelchair; and it was also a freak injury; the odds of the same guy getting it twice is the same as anyone else getting it once
