I'm following along with the cuts and almost cuts. How does the O-line shape up RIGHT NOW.

Free/Kosier/Gurode/Holland/Smith?

Rumor has it that Columbo is being asked to restructure. Another rumor says Cowboys are waiting on Free signing first. If Free leaves then who plays LT? Smith with Columbo staying on the right?

If Free leaves Smith goes to LT. There is no other real prospect for that slot.

Right now I would hope to get Free and Kosier signed and look outside to pickup a RG. I know some have talked about Holland but the guy is a 8 year vet and has yet to step up as a starter in this league. Keeping him as a potential back up I think would be fine but not sure I would like to see a rookie and Holland playing side by side.

Resign Doug Free and build around him and Tyron Smith. Andre Gurode is still somehow considered one of the better centers in the league (I don't see how.) Put a couple of scrubs at guard (Kyle Kosier and God forbid Montrae Holland) and that's our offensive line. Not really good or anything but it's a start and a definite improvement over last year. Addition by adding Tyron Smith and addition by subtraction by cutting Leonard Davis.

Holland was very solid playing last year. Kosier is very solid as well. Neither are scrubs except to the uninformed.

And yes Gurode is a good center.

Free will be staying put. Would you like to make a friendly wager, gentleman's bet no money, that he does not?

Leonard is on the bubble, but I'd like to keep him for depth. He just needs a better coach.

Holland is a solid backup. He has been around for a while and has never cracked the starting lineup.

He was a starter in Denver until he got in Shannahans doghouse. Frankly he should have been starting last year in place of Davis.

If Garrett felt that way he would have started him and he didn't Holland in my view is a good backup but he can't seem to stay healthy has had issues of coming in out of shape himself and given the fact we will be starting a Rookie on the right side I would hope Dallas will look outside for a RG

Davis is not officially released yet

For all intents and purposes he is gone. Colombo is the only one of the first cuts that might be back.

LT - Smith
LG - Kosier
C - Gurode
RG - Arkin
RT - Young

A rookie at LT, an often injured LG, Gurode, a rookie at RG and a 2nd year RT who has never started a game as our starting OL?

With this line, I fear Romo will look like your Vick Sig Pick by the third game.

Yep. But that is what happens if you lose a promising LT in Free......

I still think the go out an get an FA OL to take Davis's place

be it Dahl - Yanda - Blalock

hmm it seems to me that what the cuts today were made for

you don't like Free

I never seen a guy that always brings up

we don't have the money to resign Free
