Who will replace Parcells?

I have my doubts about Zimmer being our next HC. If he were to be considered, I'm not so sure Jerry would have allowed him to speak to the Rams, who just so happened to be the only team that was somewhat interested in his service.

At this point in Zimmer's young career, I would think his best option is to accept a college HC position.

Troy Aikman should be the next head coach.... let will put together the best coaching staff in the NFL and be the figure head of the Dalllas Cowboys...

Jerry and Troy... u thought Jerry and Jimmy was bad!!! wait till Troy gets his hands on this team!!!

Please no Holmgren. I can stand that dink and dunk offense. Some many not like it but I like smash mouth football not that sissy wco crap.

Well I'm feeling a bit Norsish today so I'll go way outside the box and say that we will go with some sharp young coach who is not just looking to pad his wallet and his legacy.

I got it...Jason Garrett.

We will hire Jason Garrett as our next head coach...book it :D

I like Jason, his brother was an OC somewhere, wasn't he ?

Smart player focusing on the offense. Knows the Norv timing offense quite well, also played for the Giants for a time too, so he was exposed to the Payton (our offense ?) scheme.

get him a nice DC who knows the 3-4...I could deal with that.

I read an article that said Bill Cower didn't want to entend his contract because he wanted to be a "free agent" type in two years. he could be a good fit in Dallas-runs a 3/4 D & is well respected. Also I think JJ would want a big name coach in Dallas.

I don't know, look at how good we were with Gailey and Campo as coaches with Jerry running everything from behind the scenes. Maybe Jerry could be our next coach. He's a football genius and a draft whiz to boot!
:laugh2:

JJ would have to pony up $15 million to buyout Weis's new contract so that ain't gonna happen.

Definitely Sean Payton.
J/k

Why else would he take upon himself the mess in New Orleans if not to acquire experience for when he replaces Parcells?

I am hopin for Stoops as the next HC.

Does anyone else remember the last prestigous coach from Oklahoma that took over the Cowboys job? It's not that i don't like Stoops it just seems that college coaches that come over to the NFL always seem to have problems

Can anyone see Dan Reeves being interested? Years ago, and I'm talking in the 80s, I thought he would replace Tom Landry.

He said when he worked as an advisor to Bob McNair last fall that he was still interested in coaching -- if the right job came along.

Depends on if we win a SB if so we will hire a big name coach, if not dont be siprised if Jerry brings in Dennis Erikson or Bruce Coslet

My list would look like this:

1) Call Miami and tell them to name their price for Nick Saban.
2) Call Charlie Weis and tell him to name his price.
3) Snag Mike Holmgren who is clearly getting itchy in Seattle.
4) Make an overture to Kirk Ferentz of Iowa.
