Aside from the obvious (Tony Romo and the entire O-Line) I will be watching Greg Ellis. I am intrigued by his move to OLB and I want to see how he handles the job. If he can be an every down OLB that will really give us some options in the LB Corps.

I will be watching Tyson Thompson. I feel comfortable with what MBIII and Julius bring to the table but I am still a bit intrigued by Tyson and want to see how his development is coming along.

Of course Pat Watkins will be on my watch list. I have never seen him play and am really looking forward to seeing what he's got. I am excited about the possibilities with him if he is as advertised.

Also, I will be watching Patrick Crayton closely. I have high hopes for this guy and I want to see if he has made it back from the injury he suffered last year. He was looking better in the last game so I want to see how he is progressing.

Some others that will be of particular interest will be Bobby Carpenter (naturally), Jay Ratliff (may push Spears for his job), Sam Hurd (see what all the Hype is about) and Jacques Reeves (heard good things about him so far this year).

What's it going to be then, eh?

2.) Scott Shanle.....The Answer's sources have told him that this kid is quietly having a solid camp (as expected) making plays left and right and beating up on our less than steller oline. Hopefully Parcells and Zimmer will start him against the Seahawks and send him loose!

So we can trade him!

Shanle is trade bait- get used to it no answer.
TT will get a lot of work as BP wants to see if he can really step in.
He has to show he can be relied upon to pick up the blitz especially.
Kincade will get a lot as well- same thing. Summers- I don't know.
As long as JJ is healthy he is the #1 back. Get used to it.

That's right... because even though he might be playing pretty well and could help a team... he's still not in our top eight linebackers anymore. That's how deep we are... and how little we need Shanle, IMO.

All of the rookies of course and especially Hatcher because I have never seen him play in the college ranks so this will be a 1st look for me. Other than I guess the entire team, I tend to look to see who is making plays and who is getting burned.

OT's - Mainly looking at pass protection. Ought to be a good test for them since Seattle led the league in sacks in 2005 and outside of us, probably rotated their D-Line more than any team in the league last year. Thus, the OT's will be facing guys that saw a lot of time.

Gurode - I've always liked his size and athleticism. Now if he can eliminate mental mistakes and those inexplicable whiffed blocks, we could have something. Another good test for the same reasons I said about the OT's, but also Seattle plays a 4-3, which doesn't suit Gurode. I think if we can stay healthy at OT, we can be decent at pass protection. I think if Gurode is the answer and we stay healthy, we could have a forceful running game.

Hurd vs. Seattle's LCB's- I'm pretty much fine with the rest of the WR's. But, they'll need to look to the future and while I don't expect much from Hurd this year, I'd like to see him do something in preseason to show he can be a future WR for this squad.

After that, I just look at blown assignments, penalties, and tackling.

Romo...It's his chance now...we'll see if all the hubbub is true.

Henson...Hopefully he can take his NFLE experience and improve on it.

Ware...I think he's in for a big season.

Carpenter...Well he is our 1st round pick and I Obviously have high hopes for him and he is a Buckeye after all!:D

Just like Jeff Mroz is gonna Unseat henson against the Seahawks, and prove that he should be the #3 guy.

Romo, the OL & DL, and some of the names we've been hearing about so far. With all the positive comments Hurd has been receiving, I hope he gets a chance to show us something on the field. I will be watching the OL closer than the DL, if the OL struggles again, it will probably be a long season for us all.

Maybe this was just a jab at the "Mroz signing means Henson's done" and the "Henson will be cut this week" posters.

LOL!! Shanle is not in the starting lineup. He did play with the first team, the same day they had Fabini at RT, and Tyson Thompson at starting RB. Shanles days are numbered

But I bet he gets a fair amount of plays in the 1st preseason game, what better way to highlight him for other teams for a possible trade.

If we could get a solid 3rd receiver for Shanle, I'd be ecstatic. I think he has a greater than 50% chance of being cut when we go down to 53 (or before that).
