Who wins the starting RT spot?

well i know it's still early but from all indications it sounds like rogers has been playing well. once pre-season starts we'll get a better idea. my money would be on rogers though.

I'm gonna say Rogers.

Jacob was really good at USC and I don't see any reason, now that he's built up some NFL strength, why he won't do the same in the pros.

Rogers. If it's Tucker, Bledsoe's going to have flashbacks of the second game of the 2001 season with the Patriots.

Oy.

I voted Vollers. I just think Parcells will want to go the "safe" route the beginning of the year.

I think it's a matter of time before Rogers wins it. I think he may wind up starting the second half of the year.

I'll be surprised if Rogers doesn't dominate this poll. Based on what we have heard so far in camp he would be the pretty obvious choice. Right now the only way I don't see him starting is if he gets hurt or BP wants a vet in there and he puts in Vollers.

Petitti.....I pull for the underdog.

DE, my recollection may be faulty, but I think Drew was scampering down the sidelines when Mo Lewis shot into him... forget if it was a broken play on the rt, a roll out, or he was just trying to get something from nothing, but it was right side, at that. :D

Anyway, Tuna won't be pleased if Tucker adds to his already lengthy list of failings a DB injury. That would be a bit more serious than reporting to camp overweight.

But my guess is this preseason Torrin never gets within a quarter of on-field duty with Drew.

Not after the Thomas Johnson show last night. :p:

I voted for Rogers but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if Pettiti won the job. We need a big nasty RT protecting Bledsoe.

I don't expect to see Tucker even make it past the first cut.

Hey if he earns it I have no problemo with that. I just think that might be a little bit of a reach.

Yes it is a reach........Rogers will win the spot. I'm simply pulling for the youngun. :)

I think Petitti is as close as Rogers was this time last year from a techique/mental standpoint

Petitti is a much larger man but he just isnt close

Perhaps that changers later this year

I expect Petitti to be on the 53, but on the inactive list for a large part of the season

I look for him to push for playing time, just not for the opener ;)

I think the best pass protector of the bunch takes the job and that is probably Rogers. As for the rest of them, Vollers is the backup at RT/LT, Pettiti inactive, Noll on the practice squad and Tucker on the street.

The big question really is whether Rogers is able to finish the year. As a rehab specialist, I am really rooting hard for the guy while recognizing it may not be meant to be.

You're correct, of course, LTN. I was referring more to the possibility of injury due to a Torrin 'I'm A Matador! OLE!" Tucker missed tackle--which I believe would be many in number. Personally, I'm hoping for Tucker to provide depth--third-string depth, that is.

On who's team? :laugh2:

He wont be around unless you'd want him as a wedge buster in KO returns :bang2:
