He's coached Ed Reed, Revis, and now Cromartie into all-pro level defensive backs.

I salivate and what he would do with Newman, Church, McCann, yes Jenkins, and hopefully Patrick Peterson.

When Garrett was being interviewed for head coach before Wade was hired, his pick for Defensive Co-ordinator was Dom Capers. Probably can't get him at this point, but it doesn't seem like such a bad idea now, does it?

Capers will not get another coaching gig for a while. He's a terrible coach...great DC though

Garrett was also with the Giants when John Fox was the defensive coordinator there, and John Fox is chummy with the Joneses. With Fox, you might could get Jack Del Rio as the LB coach if he's fired from Jacksonville and looking for a gig. Fox gave Del Rio his first defensive coordinator gig when he went to Carolina, and of course Del Rio has Jerry/Dallas ties.
