I've been a Cowboys fan since 1977. Seen a lot of good and a lot of bad. But, when I think back to watching them destroy the Vikings back in 1996, I would have never imagined that would be the last time I would enjoy a playoff win. We've had a few playoff appearances since then, but nothing that had the feel of this season. It was right there and the Cowboys pulled the rug out from us as they have so many times before. Every playoff loss is brutal, but this leaves some serious heartburn. I really want to believe that this team is on the right track, but I can't based on the last 12 years of futility. I'll be excited come next August and ready for another 16+ weeks of enjoyment, but it's going to be a long, cold winter (and hopefully enjoyable summer) until then.

Yeah-after the Colts choked away that AFCDG against the heavily underdog Steelers, EVERYONE started saying how Manning's window of opportunity all of a sudden was shut closed. I mean he was HORRIBLE in that game. Look what happened a year later.

And look at the Chargers this year compared to last, when everyone thought an implosion was coming.

Am I optimistic about '08? Honestly-I don't know. But a month from now, even Extreme Skins won't even remember it(it's not like they're going to party about this loss every single day).

Some leaders must emerge from that locker room and remind the players of the bitter taste of defeat and to avoid it at all costs.
There are leaders in the team...in name only.If there was a true leader in this team there would be no Crayton shooting his trap without retribution.
The season is 16 games long,not 13.
After the Green Bay game this team lost all focus.
The nose dive was stuff of legend...once again the team believed in their own BS,and lost still believing their own BS.
When the Coach after a loss says "we were the better team",then he is still believing in guess what,BS.

It's already happening. Phase I of Wade's plan to return the Cowboys back to prosperity is working. The team loses inexplicably and the media, fans, and players' own pets are turning against them.

Romo needs to go! Wade must be fired! Ware was no where! Roy can't cover/tackle! Crayton sucks! They have no heart! They can't win a playoff game! Perfect indeed!

It will be us against the world next season, sez Wade to his players. No one believes in us except us! We'll show them!

Heck, Wade may even have his own spy gate somewhere up his sleeve.

Seriously, I have no idea what plan is in place but the us-against-the-world route isn't a bad one. It's worked for a lot of coaches including recently with Belly-cheat and the Pats. Why not Wade?
