Coming from the dude who set up Wannstedt to replace him in Miami, I'd ask Jimmy which one he liked and then I'd hire the other. Jimmy lost his midas touch years ago.

They are his friends, what do you expect them to say?

I'm not saying they don't believe it, I'm just saying take it with a grain of salt.

everyone who worked under Norv the O coordinator will have nothing but positive things to say about him, not so sure if you were asking about Norv the HC

You keep saying this, over and over. Everyone that you quote as saying that Norv would be a good fit here are all former Cowboys. Has it ever crossed your mind that they are all friends pulling for one another?

The world got away from Chinese Arithmetic a long time ago, and, it's about time that the Cowboy org stop living in the past and catch up with the 21st Century...

Norv would be alright as the OC, but, not as the figurehead of the Cowboys. I would rather let Garrett do that...at least he's young and imaginative and most likely willing to try new things, while Norv might just be...well, Norv, all over again...

I like Norv, but, please, not as HC...

Troy Aikman praised Campo as someone who "knows what we're all about" and had "tremendous respect within the organization." He said Campo "earned the right to coach this team."

you can't really take the word of former Cowboy players on this one since they never played under Norv the HC, JMO

I for one think Campo would make a good DC. I did not realize he is DC in Jax so it would be a lateral move, and therefore not possible. Plus, to return to a team for which you failed as a HC would be very unusual. In fact if we hire Norv Turner (I prefer Wade Phillips) I think Campo would be an excellent choice to restore the 4-3 and teach it to Bowles (if he needs it)....

Campo isnt DC there, he is either an asst head coach or DB coach

he just interviewed for the SF DC job by the way

and I agree...Campo isnt a bad DC
