Those are preety good players if they were to fall to us but I would choose Davis based on the fact that I think LT is a bigger need.

I like Iupati, but.....

Davis will be a starting left tackle for many years..and those are very hard to find.

Iupati, no question.

I really question Davis's maturity and work ethic.

And I really question Iupati's fundamentals and his level of competition. He might be a couple years away from being a quality starter. Based on what I saw in the Senior Bowl, and Mayock's comments about Idaho's bowl game, he has to overcome his penchent for grabbing ahold of people. He has to move his feet better to keep in front of people.

I think Iupati may be there at 27, but I seriously doubt Davis will be. If both are there I'd take Davis. Guards are much easier to find that talented tackles, especially tackles you believe can fix a potential LT hole for 10 years.

This x2.

Even if Davis needs a grooming year, that fits very well with our current roster and needs. He is one of the youngest guys in the draft and it sounds like he could use some maturation.

But as you said, fat chance that he drops all the way to 27.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Iupati starting the end of the 2010 season or the beginning of the 2011 season. The level of competition is a concern, but I think Iupati is serious in his commitment to play football. The talent is there.

As for Davis, I really question his passion and commitment for the game. That can't be taught or coached up.

Anyway, let's see how these guys pan out in 2-3 years time.

Davis just because I would think it'd be hilarious to have two Davis-s on our OLine. :laugh2:

Davis work ethic and allergy to the weight room worries me, but I still think he is more of sure thing than Iupati.

I wish I had that choice in my mock. Even Charlie Brown's gone. The big slider is Pierre-Paul, who I would have been all over 12 months ago. Weatherspoon just went to the Iggles. Iuputi long gone. Thomas long gone. Some would go for Poncey or Ducasse here. Ducasse is tempting but I'm being lured by the candy - Rejus Benn, Demayrius Thomas, Golden Tate.

One pick to go. mmmmm candy.
