Who would you hate at 12?

I don’t understand the issue with either one. This board is strange. Elite five star players in high school that became big time college football players. But of course if your favorite YouTube draft nick doesn’t like him he must suck. Add either one to the corner back or defensive line room our defense will improve dramatically.

Our draft prowess is not as advertised. It's been lacking. No consistency. Not in a good way. We need to draft based on best available player on the board, regardless of need, position. It's very hard to do because the temptation is to fall in love with a name, based on need. We can't afford to do that. We did this with Guyton. Paid a price for it. We still need a LT. Guyton to me is a slightly better Terrance Steele. Put him at RT .

This is why being active in FA is so important. Since we aren’t it forced us to draft for need…bad combo.

Oh I actually like both Williams and Johnson more than most. Some of our fans don’t but I think are both fairly good values at 12 and fill need at a premium position.

As long as the meds are 100% for Johnson he’s actually one of my favorite targets. Dude’a 23’ tape was elite.

Drafting Jeanty, Hampton or Warren wouldn't be getting cute. They are solid prospects that would greatly improve this team. They will at least give you solid starters on their first contracts. If not just move on.

Here’s the problem with drafting RBs early in round one: They have poor value, meaning most RBs begin to decline by year 4. You get way less time from them at the highest cost.

First round picks have the highest draft value so if you only get 4-5 years out of that it becomes poor value. Zeke was the poster boy for that. Zack Martin is a great example of draft value in that we got HOF performance for 11 years. We got about 4 good years from Zeke.

Occasionally you see a rare exception RB like Derrick Henry or Adrian Peterson or Emmitt Smith. But the odds of that happening are very low. Derrick Henry was a second round pick too. Much better value.

Honestly, I'll be disappointed if we make a pick and it's not a wr or jeanty.

There's a few names that could soften the blow for me.

I'm really high on Kenny Grant. I wouldn't cry about jihad Campbell.

I 100% want jeanty, tet, or Golden. I'd settle for e² or burden.

It’s Jeanty or bust for me. That doesn’t happen trade back!

Yea agree - I’d love to know the real deal on Pearce and Green. 2 guys I love but am afraid of at 12 with the off the field stuff being a potential concern.

An RB is not a good long term investment, and it can't help a team with this many holes.

Go get a cornerstone-- doesn't really matter the position.

Scratch that, if the pick at TE at 12 I'll be livid.

Parsons was considered the best defender in the class by most that year.

That’s what happens when you just take the best player and don’t draft for your biggest need.

This offense needs playmakers and from the look of FA that’s what they are going to try to get. What I’m worried about is Eberflus has been at a ton of these Pro Days………like his Predecessor Marinelli always was…..

I think Pearce is ok but has some bad practice habits. Green could be Zeke all over again. To much smoke around him. Probably the two best pass rushers in the draft even over Carter.

Grabbing a WR2 at 12. Seems like a luxury pick given neither oline or dline has been upgraded. If there was a year to grab a wr, it was last year. This years class is meh.
