If its an obvious passing situation, who do you have playing?

I have on the line rushing - Ware, Ratliff, Crawford, Hamilton
Linebackers - Lee, Carter
Corners - Jenkins, Claiborne, Carr, Butler
Safety - Scandrick

Depends on down and distance and offensive personnel on the field.

All I can say is here I would have on the field no matter what...

Lee
Ware
Ratliff
Carr
Claiborne

Carter might eventually make the list. The rest <depend> on who the offense has out there.

This is my pick for the end of the season:

DL: Hamilton, Crawford, Lissemore, Ware

LB: Lee, Carter

CB: Carr, Claiborne, Jenkins

Safety: Johnson, Sensabaugh

Hamilton is quickly gaining a fanbase.

He sure is! With that said, let's tap the brakes a little folks. Let's wait for the UDFA to actually make the squad before we start including him in packages.

I'm not putting Hamilton in a group until I see him do something in training camp, no matter how many sacks he had at Prairie View.

I like this..but id toy w kickin spencer inside in these situations..

Might even give Butler some reps at DE..but I'll go w Crawford there for now

Butler Ware Ratliff Hamilton

Kick ware inside..he will generate pass rush vs anyone..a la JPP

Get the 4 best pure pass rushers on the field.

Not something Id do every time.. Just a package

Isn't Crawford more of a run defender than a pass rusher?
He was drafted for his potential pass rush from the end position in a 3-4 and it's expected that he can also be an inside rush guy in a 4 man front.

This. They told Crawford that they wanted him to put on some weight to be able to better stand up against the run, and he's already added about 10 lbs. (up to 284). He said he'll put on more weight if they want him to, but he'd like to try it at that weight because he doesn't want it to hurt what he does best right now, which is rush the passer.

Do you have a source?

I'm not trying to be difficult. :)

It's simply that everything I've read has mentioned Crawford being a better run defender than a pass rusher.

I've seen some places that talked about his run-stopping ability, but most of the ones that I actually think know their stuff have zeroed in on his ability to immediately contribute in a rotation as a pass-rusher. Here's one link that talks about it, although I've seen many more...and from sources that I put more faith in.

Here's a quote from Garrett about the topic:

“We are really excited to have Tyrone. We like his potential and the motor in which he plays. He is a high energy guy. The vision we have for him is as an early down rush guy and then grow into a first and second down player at the five technique.”

Seriously...

As for the OP, you don't put the guy on your team with the worst ball skills at safety. Jenkins maybe if you're getting tricky, but not Scandrick.

First of all have you seen the guy? He's only 280 and is a lean looking guy. If they wanted a run stuffer they would have gotten a 300+ lard butt. But here's Gil Brandt:

Round three (81) Tyrone Crawford, DE, Boise State
Crawford has the strength and burst to get to the passer in the NFL. He looked very good getting off the line this weekend with above-average speed. I see him playing a lot and helping the team as a rookie. Crawford is relatively inexperienced. He's from Canada and played just two years of college football after attending junior college. His best football is ahead of him.
