Who would you trade your for?

Remember when we traded up for DLaw in the 2nd and he turned into a pro bowl caliber player for us at a premium position?

Sometimes you swing and miss and sometimes you hit a homer. I typically prefer not trading up myself just interested in seeing what players people would consider doing it for. Claiborne was a stud prospect we just didn’t hit on him.
Or Dez Bryant

Let’s say…give up a 3rd round pick to move up to the mid/late teens.

I’ll hold my thoughts till I hear some comments.
First name that jumps out to me is Drake London. I think he is a legit stud. Jermaine Johnson is probably another

Possibly for one of the top tier OL, but we should be able to get a plug in starter at #24 even if we stayed

Disagree that he was a stud prospect. His skillset screamed otherwise. Have no idea how the scouts stated believing the hoopla thrown around about him, his scouting report read like a 3rd round prospect. Horrific trade, and yes I thought so at the time.

Kudos to you, but most evaluators had him as a top 10 lock. Obviously they missed but the consensus was he was a stud.

WR or DE would be tough for me Bc the class is so loaded. It also depends on who we lose.

If we’re talking about moving up a spot or 2 for someone like Johnson I’d probably be on board.

Loaded classes can still net busts. Sometimes if you have a guy you really want, you get them. Even in a loaded class. A small trade up in 2017 could have gotten us Tre White in a loaded CB class

As long as he’s healthy he’s a legit, top 10 talent. If the medicals pass at the combine and he has good meetings I’d have zero concerns.
I do think he is going to test well and be out of our range, but let's see what type of player he becomes. To me, he screams major boom, bust.

Remember when we traded up for Mo Claiborne and left Stephon Gilmore, Luke Kuechley and Fletcher Cox on the board? Good times.

I wonder if we could have used Bobby Wagner with that 2nd round pick we gave up. Such good times.

exactly
And we didn’t even meet with the guy
Many of us were against that trade and pick but Jerry wanted a splash

To give up a third, it would have to be for someone ranked in the 10-15 range falling to the mid to late teens. There isn't anyone in that range I would give up a day two pick for. Lately I've been trading back, taking Zion Johnson and adding a third round pick.

this is the correct strategy

I know, I saw that, and it never made sense. He played to a T as his scouting report said he would, not awful, but far from great. Our team should've done a better job on their own instead of believing the hoopla. If our own scouts agreed, they should all be fired.

I would go 1 + 2 for Kyle Hamilton, as I seriously think he is the next Troy Polamalu. Other than that... no one I'm crazy about this year. The guys projected to go around pick #10 don't really look different than the guys projected to go around pick #24.

Safeties usually fall…I remember getting exited about Derwin James sliding.
