Yes, it's that time of the year, folk's. The annual CowboyMcCoy 2nd-3rd string quarterback debates. Who do you think it'll be?

What do you mean? Romo will start, orton #2, draft a 3 in 2nd/3rd/4th probably.

Well for once, this is one year where we need to carry 3 QBs......Romo, a backup that can go in immediately in Orton, and a viable option for the future if things don't work out with Romo.

We have alot of needs and they all probably won't be met this offseason. At this point, we have to make sure we start planning for our future and making sure its secure at the most important position on the field as we don't have time to sit back, hope, and pray that things will work out anymore.

In the 3rd.

Orton #2

Would like to see a Tyler Bray or E.J. Manuel in here to sit for a few years, but I think we have to many needs in the trenches to spend a 2nd or 3rd round pick on a QB.

But look how it worked out for San Fran and Cincinatti

2nd round heck now 3rd round sure more value with the 3rd round pick.

The first two rounds should be on either line defense or oline or both

i dont like any of the QBs in the draft

i would think that with the chip kelly hiring, nick foles is out in philly

i would offer philly a 5th pick this year for foles and see if they bite

then he will be our #2 or 3 depending on how he does in TC

he is accurate, has some mobility

Not sure if there is a real debate since Orton will be the #2 QB. Not sure the Cowboys will even look to QB in the draft until late.

I'll go out on a tiny limb and say Kyle Orton will be our #2 QB in 2013.

:omg:

I don't want Foles.

If Romo signs a long term deal, then we won't draft a QB. The days of "grooming" a QB are over. So it makes no sense to sign Romo long term and then draft his replacement. Plus, this year's QB class is weak. Keep the picks on guys who can help this team for the next 2-3 years.

This is not the year to draft a QB. Too many pressing issues to fix.

Would be a monumental waste of a draft pick. When it comes to QB, pothead losers need not apply. There are a few UT players I'd love to see in Dallas, Bray isn't one of them.

I'd expect the Raiders to be all over him at some point.

Orton #2 this year, Jerry goes all in on Johnny Football next year

would love that so probably won't happen but I could see us taking Manuel IF he drops to the 4th

Orton is one of the better QB2s in the league, so we're good there.

He's signed for the next two seasons. It's a real luxury having that extra roster spot that a QB3 would occupy.

But we can't rule out bringing in a young gun to groom as early as this year.

I don't know about the days of grooming are over, many of these rookie QB had the luxtury of not having to carry the offense they relied heavy on running game. Granted they played very well but RGIII,Wilson and Kaepernick got a lot of help on offense from very good ground games and where not being asked to throw the ball a lot.

I think that's where we failed these past few years. Too enamored with Tony Oh-no to pull us out. He's failed us over and over and over again.

We need to focus on a running game to carry the load.

No more theatrics. Solidify the ground game. In a passing league, running is still key.
