know what I'm saying he's better than he was his rookie year he was really good as rookie year yes but he played under control because he had a strong run game and Ezekiel Elliott should have got that offensive rookie of the year award the defense didn't play well in the Green Bay game in the playoffs once again but he's gotten better since he's a better passer he's a better leader he's better at reading defenses and when you give him some talent the man shows that he came off a broken ankle in 2020 and at 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions and in 2023 also very good but everyone remembers 2022 because of the interceptions which half of which bounced off the hands of receivers or receivers ran the wrong route or didn't fight for the football or the ball got tipped blah blah blah we saw it all bro I'm sorry but you're on the wrong track it wasn't his best year it may have looked like that from his QBR but when he came back in 2022 from a broken hand and the calf nobody use excuses like they have for other quarterbacks that have had problems with injuries and they say well yeah Herbert didn't play well because he had a bad hand or a bad arm or a bad foot you know Prescott scored all them touchdowns and got our offensive Cooper rush had in the bottom 10 and brought us right back into the top five we were scoring more and we were moving the ball better but all people remember are the interceptions.1st of all I’m not blaming Dak for the past 30 years
And you are correct 2023 was a great year for him
I was specifically speaking to QBR rating
Which was 77.6 in 2016 was his best year
You are also correct in stating in regards to a strong run game and a good defense
Once again I believe he is talented, I don’t believe he is elite
In my opinion it was not his best year he's had many good years where the offenses have been number one in the league or at least top three almost his entire career he said no losing seasons when he started to finish the season healthy he's ranked so high in some all time NFL records not just Cowboys records and he's going to own most of the Cowboys records...
I'm leaving QBR records out of it I don't care about QBR special analytics I'm telling you my eyes and stats tell me he's a better quarterback than he was as a rookie.... Just doesn't have the offensive line the run game the defense the separation by the receivers the second great target to throw to I mean come on the coaching staff this is what jalen hurts just had this is what Matthew Stafford got that's why Matthew Stafford couldn't do anything but put up stats in Detroit in his first year led the league in interceptions and had two interceptions with the Rams and still won a Super Bowl that's because of the defense that's because of the coaching that's because of his team around him when you get a better grasp of how that works you'll stop blaming the quarterback around here because Tony Romo got the same treatment..
I can tell you this and it's not debatable, i'm going to tell you right now you can deny it, but Troy and roger were not better than Romo or Dak and if you say they were, i'm going to tell you, you are wrong,
they were never asked to carry a team. they were never asked to win games on their own.. some of the best OL/DL and run games in history with some of the best coaching EVER.. and YET the irony here is look at how many interceptions they threw the RS and Playoffs the Td-INT ratio with all that protection and run game?!! i said you can put Prescott or romo on those teams and they still can winthr SB..
All four quarterbacks are Super Bowl caliber, but only 2 got the GREAT TEAMS...
