Revis and Jenkins isn't close to him right now because Revis is in a class by himself. No one has left Revis Island alive.

When we were saying Newman was impressive taking the other teams number 1 away every once in a while, Revis did this EVERY WEEK!!! No one did anything against him. Revis by far...

When Nnamdi follows the best reciever around the field he can be in the discussion. It's only between Revis and Woodson right now because they stalk their prey.

As long as we're getting into "best corners of all time" territory this man should NEVER be left out of that conversation:

[edit] New England Patriots

He enjoyed a sensational rookie year with the Patriots with eight interceptions and an AFC-leading 608 yards on 45 punt returns. That year, Haynes gave the Patriots their first-ever touchdowns on punt returns with 89-yard and 62-yard returns. He earned a Pro Bowl invitation as a rookie, the first of nine Pro Bowl bids.
Haynes recorded 28 interceptions and 1,159 yards on 111 returns, a 10.4-yard average during his seven years with the Patriots. He started his career with 58 consecutive starts before being sidelined with a rib injury late in 1979.
[edit] Los Angeles Raiders

Haynes played out his option with the Patriots in 1982, and in November, 1983, his contract was awarded to the Los Angeles Raiders in a settlement that gave the Patriots a No. 1 draft choice in 1984 and a No. 2 pick in 1985. He played the last five games in 1983 and then started and had one interception in the Raiders’ Super Bowl XVIII victory.
In seven seasons with the Raiders, Haynes returned only one punt but he added 18 interceptions to give him a career total of 46 which were returned for 688 yards and two touchdowns, including a team-record 97-yard return against Miami in 1984. Haynes was an All-Pro choice in 1977, 1978, 1982, 1984 and 1985 and an All-AFC pick eight times.
In 1997, he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. In 1999, he was ranked number 93 on The Sporting News' list of the 100 Greatest Football Players.
[edit] All-Pro Football 2K8

In the video game All Pro Football 2K8, Mike Haynes originally appeared as a Gold Cornerback with the abilities "Coverage Bonus - Player has excellent pass coverage skills" and "Return Specialist - Player is skilled at returning punts or kicks". After the first patch for the XBox 360 version of the game however, Mike Haynes' name was changed to "Mark Smith". No explanation for the change was ever presented. All of Mark Smith's abilities, player model, and even facial features, remained unchanged from those of Mike Haynes.

........if this guy wasn't the best he was certainly the most underrated. Smooth as silk too....

I would have to say Revis. I'm happy with the play of Jenkins and think he is only going to get better but when comparing the 2 thus far Revis is better

He was probably the best all around CB I ever saw play. I would say that Deon was the best cover CB I've ever watched play but I would not say that he was the best CB. Woodson was a very good all around CB as well.

Right now, Revis and Asomugha are probably the best CBs going right now, IMO. Woodson is a pretty good CB put I don't think he's better then these other two. JMO.

You beat me to it, after I saw the posts of best of all time...Michael Haynes was who I thought of immediately. Prime Time, definitely was top 3 or so of all time, I think. Hey, even on the Cowboys, we had another guy not mentioned that wasn't too bad. Teams used to come to Texas Stadium and see banners saying "Up against the Wall!" (Everson Walls)

Even Kevin Smith was pretty darn good for a few years before he became Kevin "burnt toast" Smith...

Mel Renfro was GREAT.

But Jenkins against Revis. Ha ha. I can't even believe that's debatable. Look at the receivers that Revis played pretty much man to man all year and shut down. The guy is peeking big time, had one of the best CB years ever this season. Jenkins did well, but he's not in the same league as Revis right now. He'll keep improving I think though, so who knows where he might wind up. But right now? Revis, every day, and DEFINITELY on Sunday.

Revis hands down, going away, it's not close.

I love Jenkins and i think he'll continue to improve and become very special but Revis is just in a class all alone.

I am so happy we have Jenkins, because he has a very high ceiling, but Revis was at a whole other level last season. He was awesome.

Haden barely. As far as college players Jenkins was better. But Haden is more fluid and he's got better speed. Jenkins was the better tackler though.

I always love how as soon as a guy struggles in the NFL everyone acts like he was a horrible prospect.

That's a toughie, but I'd have to give Revis the edge right now. I think Jenkins will explode next year though. Sky's the limit for Jenkins ....if he keeps his nose to the grindstone and doesn't buy into the hype he's got a chance to be on of the best CB's to ever wear the star IMO: Renfro, Sanders, and Smith included.........

I like Jenkins, too but are you serious?!?!

Wow.. just wow. Your homer-ism never ceases to amaze me.

Jenkins has shown amazing potential, maybe soon he'll be considered "elite", but he certainly isn't yet.

Comparing him to the Top dog? get real. Revis is playing at a higher level than any CB right now.

Jenkins isn't even close.
