Bledsoe or our Recievers?

- I can't help but hang on this...but the fact that we did not bring in one guy who can stretch the field is beyond asinine...it's disgraceful. We havea friggin statue at QB....a RT on wheels...and WR's that can't shake Alundis Brice....
This is a recipe for 5-11 ...Yes, I am worried.

A 7-9 season can be considered progress. That's what I'm aiming for personally. It's not the playoff scenario that everyone wants but we win one more game than we did last season.

It depends, if we stay healthy and finish no better than 7-9 I don't see the improvement. Last year, injuries had to account for at least 2 losses.

With the upgrade at DB's, NT,G, and RB we need to go 9-7 at the very least.
If we stay relatively healthy.

However, whether we can protect Bledsoe or not remains to be seen. If we can't protect him, we'll be drafting in the top 4 next spring.

Anything less than 9-7 is a dissapointment

The Eagles made it to the Super Bowl with Pinkston, Lewis and Freddie Mitchell. I'm not worried

well sicne Bledose is about as fast as tom brady and Glenn runs a 4.3 still i would give the nod to our recivers espically since we have Morgan who i think runs a 4.4 (coudl be wrong) and crayton and Merritt who are fast and quick.

And they had a considerably better o-line than we're looking at right now.

I would say Bledsore by a fraction....:lmao:

How much faster would Terry Glenn have to be to be considered "fast"? Key is slow, but if folks don't understand by now what it is he brings to the table, at this point they just sound like haters. Morgan has 'real' speed , Crayton has field speed.

Hostile, who was at the game, said our receivers separated, they ran "clean routes" and were OPEN.

But of course, those facts don't suit that particular agenda.

With the line currently in a state of confusion, whatever QB is behind center is going to have to rely on the receivers getting separation to take some heat off.

But if he's too busy ball patting and happy feeting, no amount of openness in the world is going to matter.

I doubt he was happy-feeting on the plays where the WR's got open-- that doesn't make sense either. Basically a quarter of football is nothing to judge an entire passing game on.

What disturbed me most were those plays where Bledsoe barely had time to react before getting hit. And talk about the bigger they are the harder they fall-- when Bledsoe was sacked once he hit the ground so hard the ball came flying out. That clearly can't continue to happen.

It's not necessarily how fast the WR's are, it's whether or not they can get seperation from the DB's. Right now, I don't see much seperation. We all knew coming into the season that Bledsoe was a statue behind center. What I'm worried about, is the O-line that everyone was so high on, looked like a sieve on passing downs and a peewee team on rushing downs. What's with the O-line is the real question?

I would rather have good players than fast ones.

Morgan is fast, Galloway is fast.
Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin were good.

Marino was slow, Emmitt was slow, Rice and Irvin were slow. Yet thats a Hall of Fame skill positions crew.

Bledsoe needs to get rid of the friggin ball.

You do know Drew's nickname in Buffalo was the "Statue"

Like I care what the fans in Buffalo think. They think they are playoff bound anyway.

Yes.....I am concerned also.

What we may have seen last night is the scheme to shut down our offense. 8 man fronts.

If we cannot pass against 8 man fronts then JJ is going to have a very difficult time finding holes.

And this is exactly the way that I would play our offense. JJ is our biggest weapon....so that is the weapon I would focus on shutting down. I would also focus on putting pressure on Bledsoe because he does not have the ability to get rid of the ball quickly and does not appear to hold up very well under pressure.
