So far in camp, who are the players that are impressing/opening eyes and on the flip side who are the players that are disappointing? I know we'll have a better understanding once the preseason games start, but who has impressed and disappointed so far?

Between Phillip Tanner & Lonaye Miller, which has a better shot of making the final roster? Do you see the Cowboys keeping 4 rb's with the last guy playing special teams, or could you see us trading away Tashard Choice?
I dont see us keeping 4 rb's but what do you think?

I think they are both having good camps, as far as one or the other making it I would go with Miller it's his 2nd year in the system. I am not sure we keep Choice as I don't think he is a favorite of JG and he does not block very well and he is not a good ST player which is something both JG and JJ said he needs to embrace. I believe if all things being equal and they can get some what close to the same production out of miller as the 3rd RB as they have gotten from choice, but with better ST play I see them cutting ties with Choice. Also I don't see much trade value for a 3rd string RB. I know he is a fan Favorite but I believe most have overrated his talents.

Also Ogletree has been pretty hot also the rookie kicker. We've also heard some good things about Marty B which is great and Gronk who I think might beat out Chapas.

2 guys who seem to be pretty hot are Sean Lee and Josh Brent. Great to see our young guys playing well early.

I would pick Tanner based on what I have seen in camp so far. He is such a powerful back and quick to the hole. He has a strong looking base and he seems to have better then average hands. He has by far had the better camp between these two players and I believe Tanner is a dark horse to make the team if he can translate his training camp production to the preseason games.

Miller seems to have small legs and not nearly as strong as Tanner. We already have 3 similiar backs (Jones/Murray/Choice) and we need a strong back on the roster for the tough yard. Another reason to keep Tanner. Miller also seems to get down on himself after a blown assignment.

Forgot about Ogletree as he has been mentioned a lot by Vela in his practice reports.

Good stuff, CC... More reports please. :)

Not only Vela but everywhere even JG so as I have said before I believe JG really likes this kid and has some high hopes for him. He will be given ever chance to hold onto that 3rd WR spot. He reminds me of a young Terry Glenn with how fluid he is.

uhhhhh ok, whatever you say

Evey year he pulls it like clockwork. Isn't consistency hot? It's like he he hits contract incentives for groin injuries or something.

Yet somebody on here tried to tell me 2 nights ago that Ogletree has been lazy and had a terrible training camp so far, even though EVERY source has mentioned him catching everything and making big plays lol.

Ogletree at 3, Harris at 4, Holley/Radway(radbury?)/Leong at 5.

Ya Muhast I am not sure man everything I have read sounds very promising. Also some have mentioned this entitlement thing and I am not sure where that has come from? I have never heard him talk about he should be playing or complaining only one I have heard was choice.

The two guys on defense I keep hearing good things about are Brent and Butler. Also Scandrick and Lee.

Watching the Youtube highlights of Tanner, this kid he is very elusive in the hole. He can hit it and and still has knack to make people miss in tight spaces. He seemed like a pretty good return man to but he looks tailor made to return punts, but I didn't see any video of him doing it. Emmitt had that elusiveness in the hole, just a subtle move to get past the second level.
