Is what we are witnessing here today simply a difference of Thomas having a better offensive line in front of him or could it run a little deeper? Could Julius be wasting away playing for a head coach that doesn't believe in letting his players and coaches play or scheme to bring out the best in their abilities?

Key word is BLOCKER!! JJ didn't get much run blocking to follow...

thomas jones is easily the better rb he has moves and power and a neck. there's a reason he was drafted earlier.

I like both backs but I perfer Julius. Julius can be a much better back with a better O-Line. Julius is more of a home run threat.

There's no beef. It's called stimulating conversation. That is all.

I think they're essentially the same player although Thomas appears to have improved his vision and patience in the past couple seasons. Before that, Thomas was known as a guy with speed and explosive running ability but lacked vision and instaincts, similar to what many Cowboys fans complain about today with JJ.

I really hope someone takes the bull by the horns and improves our Oline this offseason. It should not be one of the perceived weaknesses of the team. The Oline is the heart of a team. Ours needs a good dose of miracle gro.

How about putting a Larry Allen type blocker on his right side, and another mauler on the left side, and then I'll tell you who's better at the end of the year.

Our OL has been p*&%poor since Bill goit here and it still is - 4 years later................. great job Bill.

You build teams from the inside out (OL and DL first) - it is absolutely PATHETIC that these are two areas of major need after 4 years of manboobs.

We had a declining LA and then a lot of other not so good players on the O line when BP got here. Gurode is a lot better now; and Columbo really looks like a find. Kosier seems solid. ITs definitly better, but still needs work. RIvera MUST be replaced.

Out of the 59 players who carried the ball at least 60 times this season, Thomas had the second-worst percentage of plays with a broken tackle -- 2.0 percent (six out of 297 carries). Julius had 30 fewer carries (267) but almost three times as many plays with a broken tackle (17).
