did we finally make felix jones the starter and make barber the back up or are we still playing musical chairs with our running backs. As I recall the last time we played the vikings felix jones had a career game. I think we should feed him the rock as much as possible or atleast 25 times with alittle and I mean little of marion barber sprinkled inbetween.

I don't think we really have a starter. I guess if you want to know who's going to get the 1st carry? Felix. Barber will get the last carry. So I guess technically its Felix. I don't think that was just a one game thing.

Even if Felix is named the starter, that doesn't mean the musical chairs is over. I think Barber was technically listed as the starter last week, but Felix got over twice as many carries.

I'd give Felix Jones 15-20 carries in this game.

Andre Gurode is hurt now, so that could spell doom for this game, passing or running. We'll see. I hope he isn't hurt bad and can play.

Last year, Jones rushed 14 times for 69 yards against the Vikings, but his last four rushes were right up the middle, on the last four plays of the game. Jones still rushed for good yards when the Vikings knew it was coming up the middle. Dallas was waiving the white flag. Jones' carry total in that game was deceptive. It was really a 10/8 spit in favor of Jones. That was a terrible split and dumb coaching.

Marion Barber rushed 8 times for 14 yards in that game.

Why the coaches don't have the guts to send Felix Jones out to start the game is beyond me. The coaches look ridiculous when they send Barber out for the first play and then replace him. What a great message to send the young players or all the players. The coaches looked the same way when they let Gregg Ellis do the same thing.

Even last week they put Barber in on the first play of the game offensively to stroke his ego, not that he's dumb enough to not realize that Felix got the ball far more than he did through the course of the game.

The truth is, our coaching staff is a joke and until they're replaced we're going to have this stupid stuff, instead of Garrett just manning up and saying yeah, Felix is the guy.

They put Barber in on the first play to stroke his ego? What? What does getting the 1st carry of the game do? His best year to this day came when Julius Jones would get the 1st carry of games. Barber isn't some egotistical maniac you guys make him out to be.

I blame it on wade phillips style. He doesnt want to upset any players. So to make them feel respected that get to be called the starter but play less than their back up so casual fans can say barber is still the starter. Gotta love our coaching staff huh?

It comes across as weak, imo.

It's wishy-washy.

I didn't like it when they did the same thing to Anthony Spencer, and I don't like it now.

However, at least Felix Jones got the football in his hands against the Titans.

If they would have given it to him 15 times against the Chargers last year, they would have probably won 12 games, imso.
