Right now I would have to say the Giants. If they sign Arrington, they will bring a huge amount of talent on both sides of the ball. Arrington will have something to prove, and if Pierce stays healthy next year, that defense will be tough.

Their offense is young and Manning is only going to get better.

I'd have to give them the slight edge right now, as much as it pains me to say.

Tiki is no spring chicken. I think he starts on the downhill side of his career.

Still way too early to tell who has the upper hand going into the 2006 season.

We know that the Skins won't improve much...limited FA $ to spend and not much high draft picks left.

Keep an eye on the Cowboys!

If Dallas can sign a kicker and get a good O-Line together, you have to say Dallas, considering those 2 things alone kept us from being 13-3 last year.

Eli is getting better?

He completely choked in the playoffs!

I think Peyton and Eli are both chokers in the big games, where as guys like Brady and Rothlisberger knows how to take of business.

I like our chances at winning the division this year, but we NEED to sign a veteran kicker like Vinatieri or Longwell.

Giants was inconistant last year IMO. We were to a degree once Flozell went down. And may be again this year. But a K was our biggest problem. Solve that and OL of course and we will win the division.
Eagles, their on the down swing, the Commanders may lose too much depth to get there again.
And remember the Giants did have an extra home game, which made a big difference, take that win away early in the season and see what direction that may have changed things.

Team to beat in order:

1. NYG- They can score points, they are beefing up an already nice defense with Maddison and possibly Arrington.

2. Philly- They were fine before TO, I think they'll rebound and be tough again this year.

3. Skins- I think it all rests on Brunells shoulders.....I think he'll collapse this year.

4. Boys- I think we need a lot of help. FS, WR, MLB, OLB, RT, C, and K.....we can shore up a lot of holes thru FA and the draft, but I think e need to get our butts in gear.

I think the NFC east will be a 4 way race this coming year......My team has some work to do.

Good point. 5 of the Commanders 6 losses were also by a touchdown or less, and we blew 4th quarter leads in 3 straight games midseason.

Next year will be a very exciting ride that's for sure.

In my mind, the champs are always the team to beat until proven otherwise. Therefore the Giants are the team to beat in the NFC East, the Seahawks are the team to beat in the NFC and the Steelers are the team to beat in the NFL. Like it or not, those teams earned that status.

(1) DAllas
(2) Skins
(3) Giants
(4) Eagles

I think it will be a good race for the top 3 but I do not think the Eagles will ever recover from this past season , No matter how many LeCharles they try to get...
Still early and the off season has just began. Things can change in a hurry...

That is just a wrong analogy. Kicker did cost us some games, but not as many as OL. Our lack of productivity on the OL did us in last year. When you lose in the trenches, you put yourself in a position where the game comes down to a kick.

Man how you under estimate the Danny Boy accounting team. Unbiasedly, I think no one hear argues that this is the best division in football. Its way too early to speculate anything, and injuries (and lack there of) will play a huge role in determining who comes out on top. As a Skins fan, we have already addressed one of our weaknesses and probably will hit on the others. Our biggest problem is no depth, our offensive production went down the toilet when Randy Thomas got hurt against you all and never recovered. As an outsider looking in at Dallas. I see a team that should be very strong on Defense, possibly top 5. I think you have some serious issues to address on the offensive side of the ball. Your O line is mediocre at best. Your Qb and Wr positions are long in the tooth and you have no future sucessor at Qb as of now. I've been speculating that you all would go after Aaron Brooks, any rumors or chatter about him coming to Dallas?

How in the world can anybody predict anything about this division after only 20 hours of free agency?!? Not to mention, we are still 6-7 weeks from the draft. I don't think any of them are a real threat to win all that matters anyway.

Is that a loaded question?

Here is the answer...the Redstinks are! The Cowboys are gonna beat your team this coming season like a rented mule!

The Boyz are spending wisely, getting depth...while your team is giving away draft picks like it's popcorn...just to sign one or two players?

Good luck with all that! :laugh1: :laugh1: :laugh1: :laugh1: :laugh1:

I think the Skins' lack of depth will do them in this year. I agree that the Boys' OL is mediocre at best; they've been cruddy for years. I will reserve judgement on the QB question until after I see Henson in Europe and Romo in pre-season because we just don't know what we have in either one of them at this time. Regardless, the NFC East will be tough for anyone to win this year.
