Who's with me? Michael Irvin as a guest speaker on the eve of the season opener...

After today's unforgettable speech, how do Jerry and Wade not bring Michael in to get this team ready to go? Bruce Bowen is great and all, but with the acknowledging of Cowboys history back in vogue now with a new head coach, this is a no-brainer!

Irvin has given several locker room talks to the Hurricanes in recent years that have been replayed in portions here on South Florida sports talk radio, and his words have been equally stirring in those.

I think it would inspire the team to hear Irvin talk to them.
Go for it Wade.

Sounds like a good idea. You know Jerry Jones would love it and maybe it would inspire a team that needs a player with a great heart whose very passionate about winning, never giving up & demanding the best from each and every player on that team.

I disagree.

I want this "NEW" team to find its own identity and leaders. Time to move on

I actually thought about that yesterday. He'd be great to bring in once, maybe twice during the season. It'd have to be a special occasion though. Perhaps a big game during the season or a playoff game if we win a berth.

I agree LTN - seems like Hollywood would have a place for that guy.

I'm all for the "next generation" finding its own way, but I also remember guys like Staubach being on the sidelines once in a while for the 90s teams. History and tradition has its place. The guys now need to see and know there is a Cowboys family.
