the reason i ask this question is because we have such an outstanding fan base from young to older like myself...
Defense:
current: Demarcus Ware.... class act with all the skills to be one of the best.
past: Randy White ..... ferocious, sheer intensity, double teamed damn near every play.
Offense:
current: Jason Witten...........tough as nails, hands of gold, you name it....this country boy has got it. playing with his jaw wired shut was all i needed to know about this bad ace.
past: Michael Irvin.... toughest one to pick when you have emmitt, troy, roger,tony,etc..etc.
i'm still going to with michael irvin as my favorite all time cowboy on offense.
mike is one of the best receivers to ever play this game..despite his off the field problems.....he was pure magic on the field...he played this game with heart and emotion second to none...he would go over the middle or turn a curl into a 85 yard touchdown. his leadership skills on the sideline and locker room were just as important.
