Why am I not looking forward to tomorrow's game?

I actually just found out that the game will, amazingly, be on broadcast TV here in Virginia. I was previously assuming that the Eagles/Falcons or Panthers/Saints game would be on, and was planning to go to a sports bar. Normally I'd be happy about this, but it really isn't getting me any more "up" for this game. I'm just not excited about it. Usually I look forward to the next Dallas game all week, and I really look forward to it when I can watch in HD on my big screen in my own living room with my own beer. This week ... not so much. Is it because the team is slumping at the worst possible time? Is it because .. well .. it's Detroit? Is it because chances are it's a meaningless game? I can't figure it out.

Am I the only one who feels like this?

I am hoping Dallas can put together a solid win and fix some of the issues and problems of the past few weeks.

Hey the Giants are putting it together tonight. There's no reason why we can't get back on track tomorrow. The key is for our guys to not get too high off of a measly win against the Lions.

Probably all three. I have trouble getting up for scrub teams. Titans, Texans, Cardinals, Detroit, wasn't excited for any of those games really.

I would imagine that you're not looking forward to tomorrow because it's a meaningless game.

Atlanta is not going to beat Philly in Philly, and even if we win 100-0, how excited can you get about us doing anything against the Lions ?

hmm.. well barber is killing them. he has over 150 yards rushing, over 180 total yards and 2tds so far. beginning of the 4th Q. I would say a little of both. They look better than they looked last week though. I see much better play calling on the offensive side for the Giants. Eli looks like the usual Eli though. Tiki is definitely carrying the team..of course their oline is basically killing Washington's dline.

Washington is on the move. The giants like to fold. This aint over yet.

update. skins are now killing the gints. 27-21 gints but they are imploding big time right now.

its because no matter how much we win by, or how good we look, people will say well it was Detroit, with good reason.

we wont know much about the Boys until we play the wild card game

It's looking like the Giants will win 34-28. They have the ball with 2 min left in the game.

Because we might make Kitna look like an All-Pro as we the last 3 QB's who started against us?

Ugh. That could be it.

What it might be is that it's painfully obvious that the Cowboys really miss Greg Ellis and don't have anyone on the team to take his place. His absence is affecting our pass rush, which is exposing our secondary. It's like a stinkin' house of cards. Frankly, what it really might be is that I doubt the Cowboys can win a playoff game this year.

I keep waiting each week for the defense to show some life. They've shown sparks of life over the last month. That's reason enough, no?

:hammer:

NFL Network showed the 30 minute super bowl show from the three 90's championship teams this afternoon. What is so obvious between the D back than and now is the pass rush. We harrassed the QB into making mistakes all game. Our front 7 was so good back then. I really miss those days.
