Why am I so scared the Eagles will win the SB this year vs the previous ones?

When the eagles was going to the playoffs back in the early 2000's I was never concerned they would win it all. Even in 2008 along with the Chip Kelly years but for some reason now I just have this scary thought they will win it all. Or maybe I am just overhyping this team? The 2003 team finished 13-3 but I was never concerned they was going to compete for a SB title.

What do you think makes this season so much different? I mean Wentz is similar to Mcnabb, both can run and throw so I can't understand why this eagles seem like a bigger threat than all the other teams.

While I would rather root for the Vikings or even the Saints to win another SB this year, the Eagles getting their first SB is still way better to me than seeing NE with 6 SB wins or even worse seeing the Steelers get their 7th SB win. Far be it from me to root for a rival but if it's the Eagles vs the Patriots or the Steelers, sign me up for rooting for the hated Eagles.

As far as overhyping goes, yes we lost to them but I saw nothing that says they are unbeatable. I really like their offensive balance but defensively I was not nearly as impressed. Grant it they are still missing a few key players on offense but there is at least 4 other teams that has just as much fire power. I guess the biggest difference in this Eagle team vs others is they seem more balanced. A young but improving QB, a platoon of good RBs, Good TE play, with a sprinkle of aging but decent WRs, held together with a top 5 offensive line. Their defense can sub waves of healthy pass rushers at any time and do so constantly to stay fresh all game long. Their secondary is their most glaring weakness. All in all, a well built team this year.

Seeing how sorry the AFC is this year (other than NE and Pitt) has me thinking whoever the NFC puts into the SB will win it. Lets just hope the inexperience and lack of successful playoff wins for this team is too much to bear.

Because they have the best QB they've ever had. That's why.

I think a few teams can beat them but they are definitely in the mix as a serious contender to win it all. Which sickens me. It's brought a whole new intensity to my MMA training.

The Eagles are as good or better than any of the somewhat mediocre batch of challengers this year.

You're legitimately worried because they really could do it this time.

Please....no

Do we get rid of that if they win it?

Until they actually win one, we still have things like this.

It will come down to whether or not Philthy rests their starters at the end of the season. If they do rest them, they will come back cold and go one and done...

Wentz is better than any Eagles quarterback that I can remember. There is reason for concern they have no weaknesses. Their secondary was a weakness for a while now they're healthy, and one of the best secondaries in football.

LOL, with that favorable schedule they've had thus far, their HC could take over at QB & have the same record. Let's see how great Wentz is next season being they'll have a much tougher schedule due to winning the division. They didn't have GB nor Atlanta either. Oh my and the tough Bears on Sunday. They have yet to play an elite team, but when they do (in the playoffs) they won't know what hit them. Dak won 11 straight last season and we all know that outcome.
Super Bowl? Egals? :lmao2:

Is it better for the eagles to go 15-1 so that it can be a TREMENDOUS amount of pressure on them come playoff time?

this , they looked rusty first half against the cowboys from bye week . It could of easily messed with their streak. Thank goodness it only took 30 mins to knock most of it off. ALthough that big head hit Wentz took after going 6/6 could of done it because he didnt do it again first half

Like the 'Boys last season, they'll probably sit their starters in the last game. After today, IMO, the Egals will lose AT Seattle, AT LA and AT NY. Raiders will be their last game at home, starters sit. Their best may be 13-3, or even 12-4. Wentz will NOT win 11 straight like Prescott did last season.

The rams have not shown they are legit. If the rams after losing to the vikings last week also loses to the saints today, then how good are they?

Maybe not for you, but for me being first place in their division is good enough legit for me. That's like saying the Saints aren't legit either because they lost to the Vikes. For the first time in better than a decade, the Rams are beating teams they should beat, and are a legitimate threat to not just be a playoff team, but a contender for the NFC West title. That's no hyperbole either, just facts.
