Why Are Teams Able To Anticipate Our Snap Count?

From ESPN: "Clancy anticipated Drew Bledsoe's snap count, knifed through the gap between Dallas center Andre Gurode and guard Marco Rivera, and grabbed Bledsoe's left arm as he was about to hand off to Julius Jones. Fumble. Antonio Pierce picked it up, returned it 12 yards for a touchdown, and New York was up 17-0. That TD turned out to be the difference."

This has been going on for the oast 3 or 4 games. Teams seem to be able to get a jump. WHY?

Is it something Bledsoe is doingor another of the O?

Who is it? WHO? I want names!

It was Al Johnson who was clenching his fist prior to the snap, but he wasn't in on that play....

How about a hard count every now and then Drew?

Actually, Gurode said they anticipated the count. BP had it different.

BP said Gurode failed to make the correct line call. My guess is that he needed to tell Rivera to get on Clancy.

Who do you think is correct? Me, I'm going with Bill. He doesn't blame guys or call them out like this unless he saw an error.

It's been going on longer than that. Carolina killed us with it a couple of years ago.

My guess is someone on the oline or Bledsoe is tipping off when the snap is coming or they are going on the same snap count all the time.

Have not had a fumble off the snap for a few games now...........snap count simplified to keep both on same page, but causing other problems...............gotta cure the disease, not the symptom

Gurode - make the right Line call and block your man. The DT came in free and clear. Thats going to blow plays up every time.

Or at least, if you can't get him, hold him.

Gurode made a mistake and compounded it by not reacting to it.
