Why are the Cowboys like this?

The franchise’s notoriety makes players believe just being on the Dallas Cowboys’ roster is a more significant accomplishment than making the roster of any of the other 31 teams. Jerry Jones works hard to maintain that notoriety. Players want to win as badly as players on any NFL team. I just don’t think they feel as bad when they lose as players on any other NFL team. That subtle difference is, nonetheless, a difference.

It's starts at the top. As you know sh_t rolls/runs downhill.

Softazz owner and GM. Interested in his own glory and not in winning at all costs. Team mirrors him.

the atmosphere Jerry has created by which we must operate a football team...where we practice, and prepare, and play. Its all against the grain of how the game is to be approached. Its too comfortable and lax. Too media accessible. Too fan accessible. Too many distractions. Poor head coaches and the players are overvalued and hyped. Too much marketing.

Meh. It's enough for me to know that Jerry will die without ever having won a SB without Jimmy Johnson as the HC.

At 81 he's running out of time. Troy Aikman even said that was Jerry's #1 motivation just a couple of days ago.

And Troy said it's most likely why he will retain Big Mike. He just doesn't have the time left to go through another coaching staff, player rebuild, and runup, etc. He has to try to figure out a way to win with what he has right now or its basically all over.

LOL!!! Good Luck with that.

Take a listen. Apparently Turpin and Sam Willians had a victory party planned for Sunday night. Like *** is this? Why is this such a clown show?

Both of these players are mental midgets. Williams has all the skills to be a quality edge rusher but he is useless. Turpin has no idea when to catch a punt and when to let it drop. And in the playoff game he was trying to run back kickoffs when he should have taken the ball at the 25. I don't see the need for either one of them.

It's not the players. I think it truly is the organizational culture.

You think a guy like Turpin who has had to GRIND to get into the NFL is at his core is the type of person? Absolutely not.

Is it possible that the organization he is immersed in has signaled that this is the norm and acceptable to the point where it changes his behavior to become part of it? Absolutely.
No, I don't think this is isolated to guys like Turpin and Williams. But these guys are mirroring the dudes higher up the totem pole for sure.

This team went 12-5 the past 3 seasons. Can you explain how that happens in this “don’t give a crap” atmosphere that is supposedly so toxic?

What I’m saying is that guys don’t come to Dallas like this. They are made to be like this by the environment.

The constant media circus around the Cowboys simply has to make getting your job done harder.

The cowboys belong in the NFL Pee Wee League but there isn’t one. We would still lose in that league but at least we’d be in the right place.

I'd start with the fact this team can't win in the trenches consistently. When was the last time we gashed a team with the running game, moved the chains with the running game, had a RB with 20 carries or more?
Close your eyes.........How many times we've been gashed by an opposing RB?

We're pass happy, been pass happy, and we look at one WR exclusively and thankfully Ferguson (TE) helps to provide SOME balance. And the running game is not respected, at all.
