Why are the Giants and Eagles entitled to making excuses?

And we don't?

1.) Now I'm extremely comfortable. I'm playing with confidence," Diehl said.

2.) This was a defense that had no clue what rookie defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo was diagramming in September.

3.)Just look at the lack of impact from Umenyiora in the opener.
“I was very disappointed; I got hurt after like four plays," Umenyiora said of his Week 1 outing. “My son had just been born. I thought I was gonna welcome him into the world with a bang, but I wasn't able to do that."

4.) The Giants barely had injury-wracked Brandon Jacobs, Umenyiora and Sam Madison in the first game. Strahan, off all summer, was rusty. The Giants are rested and ready following the bye week.

5.) “We didn't have a lot of guys. we had a rookie cornerback [Aaron Ross] playing his first game," Pierce said.

Because they whine and have to make excuses to make themselves look better. We just play better to make ourselves look better.

There is no question they are extremely nervous about this game. If you were at all confident, you would go about your business quietly and show up on Sunday and do your thing. Kind of like what the Cowboys are doing. The giants saw last Sunday night that the cowboys can dominate against their defensive scheme because the giants scheme is the same as the eagles. That made them extremely nervous and they are lashing out with whatever they can think of. Excuses about week one, implying they will take their shots after the whistle, both show without a doubt that they are lacking self-confidence and are trying to convince themselves they are the better team. They know deep down they are not or they wouldn't be talking. I love all this crap they are spewing. Everyone that had done it this year has had their behinds handed to them during the game by the Cowboys. Sunday will be no different!

Its Fear.

The Fear that the Cowboys are on the rise again.

The horror (for other teams) of the 1990's is back.

Cowboys success and dominance only bodes well for the Dallas Cowboys organization and its fans.

The excuses are used to buy time for them and are an attempt to steal some of our thunder. That only lasts so long.

If we are for real. Its only a matter of time before EVERYONE has to acknowledge our greatness.

Absolutely true. 6-2 is 6-2 and those two losses belong to the NY Giants. All this talk about them being a different team is nothing but excuses. If a professional team can't be ready for the very first game of the season, they're not too professional and all the excuses in the world aren't going make you play better on the field.

They're a division opponent and they always play the Cowboys good, but they're over matched and they know it. That's why they have to constantly remind themselves that 'they're a different team'.

Yeah right.

Because they are not the Cowboys. You know we haven't played anybody, right? Neither have they, but why cloud the issue with facts? The media is going on and on about how this is a different Giants team, blah, blah, blah. Well, this is a different Cowboys team too. We have improved on defense and, yes, on offense too as hard as that is to believe. We were feeling things out in the first game with injuries to TNew and Ellis on D and trying to figure out Garrett's new offense yet still hung 45 pts on their excuse-making arses. Both teams have improved, but the Cowboys were already better.
Advantage Cowboys.

As long as a team makes excuses for it's problems or bad play then they are losers and I would like the Eagals and the G-girls to continue their excuse making and for the media to make excuses for them as well.

I agree.

They also are doing more talking than usual. That usually tells me that they are doing that in an effort to not only convince the fans but themselves.

This game should be a win. And if we do not let the environment beat us (read: make foolish penalties), it should be an easy one.

Skins might be entitled.

Commanders' Receivers Are in a Sore Spot

By Jason Reid
Washington Post Staff Writer
Saturday, November 10, 2007; Page E01

Wide receivers Santana Moss and Antwaan Randle El missed practice again yesterday, leaving their status in doubt as the Washington Commanders completed preparations to face the Philadelphia Eagles tomorrow at FedEx Field.

Moss, who is listed as questionable, did not practice this week after suffering a heel injury in Sunday's 23-20 overtime victory over the New York Jets. Randle El aggravated a hamstring injury and missed the last two days of practice but is listed as probable.

looking at comments made by other teams out of your own teams colored glasses.

I'm not sure about everything posted but Strahan was definitely not Strahan. And the one thing not mentioned that Spagnolo has fixed is the use of Kiwanuka.

I'd be willing to bet that these comments were made as a response to questions asked. How do you want them to answer?

Regardless of the context, it sounds like a whole lot of whistling through the graveyard. There's a trend I've noticed that is pretty prevalent in Cowboys games this year. The team that does the most talking is getting their ***** whipped.

The ONLY game the Cowboys lost this year happened promptly after TO called up Adalius Thomas and started talking ****. Don't get me wrong. I don't think the Cowboys lost because TO called him up. But, I DO think TO called Thomas to pump himself up about a game he was unsure that they would win. We all know the result.

You know the saying: "The empty can rattles the most". There's a whole lot of rattle coming out of NY this week. I'll guarantee you it's not an attempt to convince the Cowboys that the Giants are a better team. Whistling through the graveyard, my friend, on the grandest scale.

That's a good position to take as far as they're only responding to questions that were asked.

It's the fact that in almost EVERY article posted that gives the Giants the edge, it speaks to many of the same things that the Cowboys were also facing in the first game.

So putting that into a 'boys fan perspective, why shouldn't 'boys fans not feel confident when considering that the two key primary defenders have returned to the starting lineup as well as them being more comfortable in Wade's defense?

No, we're just tired of our opponents talking crap during the week. The giants did it week 1 and got beat down. Miami did it, Chicago did it, St. Louis guaranteed a win, the eagles did it and all got beat down. How about your team just shut their traps and come to play football on sunday. If they can win they they have license to run their mouth. Until then they are just a team that has a worse record, that we already beat by double digits, and that has been playing the lowliest of low teams and talking trash because they have been nbeating them. Wins against the jets, falcons, 49ers, and dolphins don't earn you any respect or the right to talk trash. They're just setting themselves up to look like fools around 7pm on Sunday just like all the rest!
