I know he's better than any rookie or safety still on the market.. Is it cause of money?

Who said we're not signing him?

Because there's no CBA.

He hasn't been released by the Raiders and Free Agency for RFAs and UFAs has not started yet. We can't sign him until he is available. No one else can either.

5 or 6 guys have been signed by new teams. All of them were guys who were released.

i'll be elated if this happens. if we pick up Huff, i think its highly unlikely that we draft prince with the 9th pick. i see us going DL in the 1st, OL in the 2nd, and CB in the 3rd. or vice versa, OL in the 1st, DL in the 2nd, and CB in the 3rd. that's what i'm hoping for.

If we are able to sign Huff, we will go OL in the first round, hopefully with a trade down to get more picks.

Why would Huff make the 1st pick a lineman?

It would strengthen the secondary. we won't be looking for skill players in the 1st, nor Linebackers, the logical pick would be O or D line. unless Peterson was available that's what i would do.

Because there would be no pressing need for a CB/S convert in the first round.

But, Huff or no Huff, the first pick should be OL anyway.

I'd be happy with DL or OL. there's a plus/minus argument for either decision.

I think if the Boys stay at number 9 they won't draft an o-lineman. The top 10 are d-lineman, QB's and DB's. They would be reaching if they got an o-lineman at that spot. Now if they were to trade down, that's a different story.

Why interrupt him in the middle of his chicken little routine? He was just about to have a meltdown.:D

If Peterson is there, you take him.

Huff isn't the type of player that should change anyone's mind about drafting a player as highly regarded as Peterson.

I was speaking more specifically to the Prince selection mentioned above. I agree that if Peterson is there we will and should take him.

Didn't even see that post.

Not sure I would agree with that...he has been an NFL disappointment for his draft status. There are some pretty good safeties in the top 3 who will probably go in round 2.

It's amazing how that works

Is because of something called a CBA. There kinda needs to be one before you can sign free agents.

And no, Jerry is not broke. Jerry is a freaking billioaire.
