Why are we waiting on National Signing day..

..to pass before making an announcement for our HC decision..which is this Wednesday...?

I read this here at the Zone in a report that was posted.

Does this mean we are waiting because we are bringing in some college coaches as assistants and don't want to disrupt some college teams from getting players committed..?

It's a strange statement to make..

Has anybody else heard this statement in reports..?

Does anybody else have a view on this..?

The only other possible explanation would be a college HC is coming to Dallas possibly..but for what and why..?

I don't think the National signing day has anything to do with anything. Rivera evidently is still waiting to be interviewed which could be today or Wed. Jones is not talking to any college coaches or at least that has not been reported.

I dont have a problem with waiting another day.

Interview Rivera today, spend tomorrow thinking of what your going to do, and pull the trigger on thursday.

I've been pondering this as well, but didn't start a thread on it since all the reports are that it's going to be a Norv hire with some combo of Garrett and Rivera.

But in the back of my mind I do wonder sometimes if Jerry isn't just killing some time with this long, drawn out search process.

I posted over a week ago about some info I picked up concerning Jerry and Les Miles talking but since that time I haven't heard anything else about it.
I later learned that Jerry has known Miles since Miles was in his 20s, which was somewhat interesting.

The thing with Jerry is you never know for sure until he makes the announcement.

1) Give the kids the spotlight and don't step on the toes of the NCAA.

2) May involve college coaches but doubtful.
