Why Beckham over Cooks talk?

A few weeks ago people were saying if we went WR in the 1st it would be for Mike Evans. Now it's looking like Evans has no chance of dropping to 16 so the talk has shifted. About a week ago people were mocking us to take Brandin Cooks but all of a sudden all the talk is about Beckham. I don't want a WR at all but I'm just wondering why people are taking Beckham over Cooks.

Beckham is more versatile and would be better value at 16, but that is just a personal opinion.
