Why can't/don't we do these trendy 1 year deals?

The trend is getting these once a gem, maybe a gem, players on 1 year hoorah deals, or prove it deals. I see all the league doing this, yet we never do. Or we don't even get to meet with the prospect when they stand you up for dinner, Chris Long.

We need help.

Can't sign 'em to 1 year deals if they don't think your team is going to go anywhere that year, unless they don't have options.

Dallas hasn't sniffed a title in a generation, and the front man comes off as on old fool too often. Those things matter.

Bowman stood us up too last year. Players don’t want to play for us.

Literally every year there are 10 stories about draft picks "dreaming" of playing for Dallas. You never hear that about any other team.

Last year the #1 pick made a video begging the Cowboys to trade up and take him. Ezekiel Elliott told everyone he would be upset if any other franchise took him.

This board has devolved into madness

That may very well be the case as well. Some players want to be able to express themselves however they feel...Jerry has let it be known that you can't do that here in Dallas. Probably has turned some guys off from coming here.

I think its some truth to people may not wanting to play here. We all know people use this team as a way to gain leverage. That's been happening for years.

The NFL is going to make this moot soon when they put an end to the anthem kneeling altogether.

And I find that amazing with a young Dak and Zeke and company. Which leads me to believe it's the agents know Stephen is cheap, and JG sucks.

Cowboys want to build a team for long term success not a one year wonder.

That's why I was disappointed when the Zeke drama brought the team down, then Tyron and Lee went down last year.

While I agree...they better do better in the depth department so when Lee misses a few games or Tyron misses a few games they don't implode.

What planet u from& what country do u live in. If only it was that easy, their not going to be able to stop anyone from kneeling, it sounds good but nevertheless it's not realistic. Patriotism cannot be forced, & look I know Demaurice Smith personally, he would attest

90% of the Players look for the $$$ first.

Why would Suh in his prime sign for a terrible never contesting Franchise like the Dolphins?
Amendola too now.

Trumaine Johnson goes to the Jets... the Jets...

There are only a couple of Players on the last hoorah looking for a Ring first. James Harrison last year. Probably Ngata with the Eagles too.
