Forgive me, the posts have been pretty boring since seasons end.

The Cardinals are in the Superbowl because God wants them there. Just ask Kurt Warner.

I always thought it was funny when a player makes the sign of the cross and points to heaven. As if God wanted them to score. Not that he has more pressing business around the globe. Maybe the other team has more players in a state of sin.

Of course, this begs the question, why haven't the Saints even made it to the big game?

I can't help but think with such parity now in the league that any edge you can get is benefitial. Maybe a penance service right before the pregame speech?

I know how often I jump out my chair and sream God D$#% it! at bad play by the Cowboys. Maybe I've been hurting the team and didn't realize it.

I'll reflect before I drop my bet this week.

I can't speak for any NFL player, but I think many of them, at that moment, are actually thanking and praising God for the many blessings that contribute to them playing a game they love. There is nothing wrong with that.

After all, God gave them the physical health to play sports, the athletic ability to be better than most at that sport, the strength to compete at that level, and the endurance to persevere through all of the challenges pro football presents. Plus He gave them the opportunity to be noticed at a young age for possessing these gifts.

I think thanking God for all of those blessings is quite appropriate. I think we all should spend more time thanking and praising Him for all of our own blessings.

I was just trying to be funny. Judge not......

But, I just ran spell check on a huge document I typed up and it didn't find a thing wrong. I immediately thanked the big man for that gift with a chest thump and a point up.
