Why couldn't BP fix the defense?

I know everyone is blaming(inc. me) Zimmer for our horrible defense in December and he deserve to get blamed.
What's bothering me besides Zimmer's stupidity is why couldn't Parcells fix it?
When it got that bad, why couldn't Parcells take the extra time to try to fix the defense?
Maybe he did and failed? If he did try and failed, most likely that means the players are at fault. And that's not good.

If he didn't even try, I would like to know why?

Any ideas?

i thought they played pretty well against seattle. its all terry glenn's fault!

Maybe Parcells did work with the D towards the end. I think T-New hit the nail on the head - the D had a hard enough time just lining up. I could see that while watching the game from my couch. The D has to at least line up correctly if thay plan on being effective.

Personnel changes and motion really confused our D late in the season. Maybe S. Peyton new that from coaching here and started a monster....

We have a lot of problems at corner.

Henry is slow.

Glenn is old and small.


When you think about it, Newman is our only solid corner.
