Has an offensive lineman ever came close to sniffing an MVP vote?

During their careers, either Anthony Munoz or John Hannah should have been considered.

He's the one who opened those mile wide holes that Zeke ran through?

How does he manage to have this kind of power after only one year in a professional strength and conditioning program while others have been lifting and training much longer?

How can he be that big and cut that quickly without blowing out his knees?

Thanks for posting. Good article.
I'd love to see the whole line get the award as a group!
:clap:I share the same sentiment. The contributions of offensive (and defensive) linemen are often underappreciated accolades-wise. The guys upfront do the real dirty work necessary for EVERY play to have a chance of success.

Some people's eyes glaze over watching spirals and jukes and leaping catches. Remove those five guys lined up front (even Free  ) out of every play and let anyone who automatically rewards great quarterbacking or rushing or receiving an opportunity to see just how fantastic skills guys are without blockers.

HUT HUT! SPLAT! Quarterbacks and running backs wouldn't be a pretty sights and receivers would be bored out of their minds..

Only flaw in article, Zack was a first round pick.
Second paragraph:
Reality is, there isn't one single selection and quarterbacks ultimately rule the day when it comes to the award. But right guard Zack Martin, the Cowboys' first-round pick in 2014, is a name no one mentions enough.
I don't get it.

Or even Larry Allen.
Beat me to it. If anyone would of been I would of guessed LA.

all pro at 3 different o-line positions. Straight beast and consistently good/dominate too.
Maybe Larry Allen.

I'm not sure that any OL ever dominated more than Erik Williams in 1993.

He is the only OL that I've ever seen basically take over a game like you would say some skill position players take over a game. There was a game where he was so dominant in the run game that the Cowboys went the length of the field for a TD and IIRC every play was a run. EW would blow up 2 and sometimes three defenders per play. You could see fear in the eyes of those defensive players.

I never saw a player dominate Reggie White the way EW did. He was the tackle version of Larry Allen before the wreck.
