Why did it take so long?

In his post game interview, Romo stated that didn't get a feel for what the Ravens were doing on defense until around the end of the 3rd quarter. My question is this. What in the world were the coaches doing all game long?

On the post-game show on The Ticket last night, Larry Brown was aghast at this comment by Romoas well. He questioned if the coaches had the team prepared and said if you are watching game film this should not happen.

The trouble w/ Garrett is he came up a coaching tree that has a very simple offense which you dare your opponent to stop. Once they do, your are finished. He's never been around a guy that can make adjustments on the fly, or even at half-time.

Deion kept talking about how with every offensive series Rex Ryan was getting more and more data on what we were doing and figuring a way to stop it. Same for Cameron going against our D. And in the end we looked like fools. Jerry should take a look at Ryan for HC if he wants to replace Wade...

It is just unreel to me that it would take that long to make adjustments. The offensive coaches definitely didn't earn their paychecks lastnight.

And I don't think Romo could care less either. That's just his attitude.

The problem with Garrett is that he was never qualified for the job. And, I opposed not only his hiring, but Wade Phillips' hiring as well. I was all about Ron Rivera after Parcells quit. If you recall, he was the D. Coord. in Chicago fresh off of a SB appearance.
But I digress. Garrett, with all of two (as in 2, duece, a couple) years of valuable QB coaching experience in Miami (name for me the QB in Miami during his wonderful tenure) was Jerry's pick to be the next "Vunderchild-Genius" O.C., and everyone just got all warm and fuzzy and tickled. He has a "coaching progeny" thing in his family, and he was part of the "Cowboy" family as well. He was Troy's chief "pine rider" for a decade.
His career as a player, and his "career" as a coach were in serious default, but Jerry got him and played him up as the next Jon Gruden or Shanahan or whatever.
Funny thing about the NFL...........the proof is only in the pudding. But even a casual observer, like me, could see that this was a "do what Jerry tells you to do" hire all along.
Not qualified. Not ready for prime time. A train wreck given the talent we got. Just a dog-gone shame.................

Because Baltimore is the best D in the league?

The same D the Giants and the Colts lit up this year?

No excuses-on any given game day, anyone can be beat.

Naaaaaah, that couldn't possibly have anything to do with it. The fault must lie with us.
