Only reason why I ask is because the over was 48.5 and not sure what the flag was, but was definitely fishy it was picked up without any announcement as to why..

Yeah, I thought so too.

Guess it was O holding?

It was hands to the face I think.

Right at the snap the LT popped Armstrong right in facemask.

Since it was a TD they may have just picked it up.

Yeah it was going to be an offensive penalty.

And the game was over regardless. Refs did the right thing. Just let the game end.

Other possibility is that they meant to throw change of possession bag after the fumble ,but threw the flag by accident. Seen that happen before a couple times

EDIT: saw someone above posted this already

Usually whenever there's a turnover, the ref throws a beanbag to mark where the turnover occurred in case they have to mark a penalty from the spot. He probably just grabbed his flag on accident.

this is what happened, grabbed the flag and not the beanbag. there was no penalty on the play.

Yeah the group I was watching with was confused and I told them he probably mean't to throw either his hat or bean bag and the flag came out instead

There was another weird play that maybe someone can clue me in on.

Earlier in 4th, Giants crossed midfield and on 2nd down completed like a 6 yard pass where refs blew play dead for forward progress.

Should have been 3rd and 4 but suddenly was 1st and ten. Did I miss a play?
