Why didn’t we sign C.J. Anderson?

I remember thinking this when he was cut by Carolina and then by Oakland. I mean, he’s clearly an upgrade over Rod Smith who is the epitome of JAG. Sometimes I think the only reason he’s on the team is because of his brother.

Now, I’m not saying we would have beaten the Rams if we had Anderson and they didn’t. I could have ran through some of those holes. But this was clearly a missed opportunity to upgrade the roster and provide insurance for Zeke.

Anyone feel good about Rod Smith being the man if Zeke went down? I sure as hell don’t.

Because we have Zeke but we definitely need another backup RB going forward.

We are too Zeke dependent and if he goes down we need someone that can carry the offense like they had with CJ.

I like Rod Smith but he is a north and south only guy.

Do you really have to ask? Rod Smith is.....ok, but a bowling ball like CJ would have been great. Our FO doesn't think that way. There is a level of cronyism and nepotism in this organization that is unsurpassed.

I dont know why he kept getting cut. He has never been a scrub and had 1k last year. Still young.

Another tailback is an offseason need for this team. You can't wear out Elliott week after week, nor can you expect him to pull a 100 each and every Sunday.

Anderson not a good RB? He killed it filling in for Gurley and not just against us.

He, like several other players we have wouldn't have been used correctly.........when Gurley got stuffed they had a backup plan.....we don't have that type of coaching......when our "A" plan doesn't work, we don't have a plan "B" like good coaches do...........we have such a predictable, simple offense that Dak gets blamed for.
