Why didn't Beasley sell the facemask more?

What if he had fumbled? Would they still ignore it and let the stealers get possession?

Well, the refs tried to give the game to the Steelers but in the end they just gave up when they saw we were going to win it to spite them.

I hope that "Flopping" doesn't ever become part of football, but if the refs can't do their jobs it will.

In the U.S. vs. Mexico soccer game a few days ago, one of the Mexican players flopped and was awarded a yellow card for it. That is something that was way overdue, IMO.

holy ****!!!
Seriously!!!!! I was like, wow that has to be photoshopped. This has to be one of the most embarrassing misses ever for an officiating crew. I wouldn't be surprised if the league offers an apology for this.

you wouldn't?

I wouldn't be surprised if I woke up tomorrow and was the only person left alive on earth after a nuclear winter

if the league apologized to us, I'd be surprised.

On the last drive. His helmet got yanked almost 180 degrees and he just pointed to the facemask. I'd have been throwing a fit to get a flag.
I have said in the past that I don't believe the refs are part of a conspiracy and that bias was limited to individual refs acting separately; however, it's hard to maintain that belief when the Steelers are involved. Some of their own fans even believe there is a bias in their favor (Not that they're complaining, but they will acknowledge it).

The refs definitely gave them that last Super Bowl that they won.

He's probably tired of seeing Dez whine to the refs.

Clearly he read the thread last week about Dez "crying to the refs".

If he tried to sell it more he would have broken his own neck....

Agree. Also I don't think the refs were going to call it. I am surprised they called the second one. Horrible officiating today.

The screenshot looks BAD, but live it happened really fast. I just re-watched the game and it was hard to notice. Glad they didn't miss the Witten one.

I'm usually skeptical when hearing of the refs favoring the Steelers so much but they really pushed their suspiciousness to the limit in that game with us. It did appear they were doing everything in their power to aid the Steeler's cause by throwing ticky-tack flags on us, while ignoring some extremely obvious infractions on them. I'd sure like to see the league admonish them in one way or another for that game (but they likely won't.) Hell, it's a wonder they didn't break Beasley's neck and yet, no flag.

Because he is a true football player not a cry baby.

um working the refs is incredibly important as a player. If the refs think you don't mind then they won't care either. Truth is there wasn't enough time to argue with the refs.

He was probably more concerned about the game and time on the clock and getting lined up for the next play. How dare he.
This.
How he is getting blamed that the referees didn't throw a flag after that, is brain crippling.

There's no way that call was missed somewhere out there there's a referee or maybe two who woke up this morning to find nothing in their shorts
