Almost the same type of game, where we got a big lead on Detroit in the first half and then went pass happy and lost the game at the very end.

Wouldnt you think back to that game and think the same thing would happen again? Why when put into that situation again, Garrett did not learn from the experience and adjust accordingly. Isnt that part of the so called "process", to learn from your mistakes so you dont make them again?

It takes a special kind of stupid to blow a game almost the exact same way you blew a game last season. Apparently Garrett did not learn a dam thing from the Detroit game and at this point I have to conclude that he is just stupid.

but yeah I haven't seen anything from Garrett that tells me he's learning...anything.

I don't see how he survives this offseason.

It's also hilarious that Garrett really never takes the blame. It's always someone else's fault with this guy.

HOWEVER, I will say that it is sad that Romo doesn't seem to get situational football either. We either need a coach who takes that option away from him in critical situations or a new quarterback. And I'm a huge Romo fan, which makes it hurt even more.

Throwing Romo under the bus was total bush league...............a head coach does not do that in public, you keep that in house.............If he has a problem with Romo changing the plays, you talk about it in the dam lockkerroom and not at the podium.

Of course I expected nothing else from our spineless loser head coach.

Garrett now owns the top 2 collapses in Cowboys history. He is good at setting records in ineptitude.

The top two? Are you sure it's not the top five or six? Because this gem is from two years ago:

agreed, ultimately the bucks stops with him, if he allows the QB to audible out of a run, then he cannot ***** when he does and it fails

I have a feeling if Romo had run the "run play" that was supposedly called and something bad had happened, JG would have blamed Romo for not audibling.

Reporter: "So JG, why did you run when there were 10 defender in the box?"

JG: "Romo should have audibled out when he saw the defenders overloading to stop the run. My system is designed to take what the defense gives you ...blah..blah.. It's not my fault."

Unless Romo was told not to audible specifically when the play was relayed to him by JG, Romo did what he was coached to do.

That's a big part of the problem, JG doesn't learn from his past mistakes. He does them over and over again, it's like friggin' Groundhog Day

Never liked the hire - if there is one level you don't "learn on the job" it is the NFL - it is even WORSE when you DON'T learn on the job.

The only thing that has been successful so far in Garrett's career is finding new ways to lose. We can't expect this guy to learn from his failures when he can't even adjust mid game. Beyond that Jerry coddles him. It's always somebody else's fault.

I think you mean why didnt Tony learn from detroit game last year.

We have now heard from 3 people in the cowboys organization discuss Romo changing plays or audibling out of run to pass.

1 Jerry Jones stated to the media that last year Tony was drawing up his own plays in the huddle.
2 Early in the year it came out that Callahan was furious with the amount of times Romo audibled from a run to a pass in one game.
3 Garrett now letting us know that Romo audibled from run to pass on the INT that ended up giving GB a chance to take the lead with time running out.

So, who is the pass happy one ?

Apparently the GB halftime meeting included a "man up" challenge which they well responded to. What was our team told by JG at halftime - "thanks, fellas, we have already won this thing...?"

The coaching staff can take away Romo's freedom to audible if they want to. They are the freakin' coaches after all.

romo admits to changing 3-6 plays a game from runs to passes, runs that the OC called.... Blame it on Garrett.

how irrational can you be?

look, I'm not saying the Garrett is doing a good job. I've said since the year started that no playoffs = no job. But lets live in reality. And in the real world we are about to go through our third head coach and our 8-10th dc in since Romo has taken over.

let that sink in.
