Why didnt we ask for Q Williams brother?

Jerry attempted to trade for both of them prior to the trade deadline. Jets declined to trade Quincy Williams so they went after Logan.

I would go with this, probably something more substantial than what they got wilson for.

Reports were they tried.
That would lead a rational and reasonably intelligent person to conclude that the asking price was more than what they were willing to give up for a player in the last year of the contract.
Notice, no one else traded for him, nor this isn’t the last year there will be football.
Exactly what do you want to throw at a player who’s currently having a down season, in a season where you’re still unlikely to sniff the playoffs, much less progress very deep!

Dallas traded for Wilson and Williams only was available after sauce was traded

My sources said the Jets wanted Dexter Coakley for Quincy straight up… Jerry said no dice. Can get him for free this offseason. Quincy wants to be with Quinnan again.

I’m kind of confused at his worth because he did get benched this year but year past he flashes a lot.

Why didn't we ask for his third cousin removed. From what I have read we did express interest but the Jets were no-go and also Brother Williams was benched by the Jets for whatever reason and recently reactivated.

Go figure . I suggested the same . Give the Jets a Dono Wilson or a Hooker in the deal plus the picks and Mazi and insist the Jets send both brothers to Texas to not break up the family show some compassion. The linebacking brother would have been a welcome sight at the LB position

They did but the Jets wouldn’t throw in Williams the LB in the deal even though they had benched him before the trade deadline.

My guess is that the Jets wanted something more than their expected comp pick for letting him walk after the season and the Cowboys didn’t want to meet that demand. Or any other team for that matter.

I feel he will likely be a target in the off season.
He's has a rough year but is a decent LB.
His OTC valuation is pretty low, so hopefully we can get him for cheap.
Perhaps Quincy, Wilson, a healthy Overshown and Liufau will give us a solid LB room without major spend.
