Why didn't we look at Lorenzo Neal?

I didn't even know this guy was available. He's the best blocking FB in the NFL still and with a power running game that we want to use, wouldn't he be a good fit?? He can clear the way like no other. Why didn't we even take a look? Cricket is the definition of a JAG.

Probably his age and that we don't use a FB that much

I think they may move Stephen Hodge to FB.

Is this one of those "can he play safety?" comments? or are they really thinking about that? lol.

Why should we. Everytime a recognizable, name player is released, we don't need to take a look at them. I think the 'Boys are headed in the right direction by staying young, and hopefully hungry... the way Jimmy liked it...IMO!!!

I wanted Neal more than any other FA.

He may be old, but LT hasnt looked the same since Neal left....in fact, all LT does is get beat up now.

Neal made McGahee's job so much easier, McClain as well. If I am not mistaken, Neal was the lead blocker for both of the long runs that Baltimore had against us.

I know he is old and not all that versatile......but there is one thing he is great at....LEAD BLOCKING. If we are indeed going to utilize a power running game next season, he would be the perfect fit. Running Barber, Choice, and Jones out of the power I behind Neal would have been sugar cane sweet to watch.

But we are stuck with the Cricket from Time Square..........
