Why Do New Draft Picks Say We Are a Marquee Franchise?

We have advanced past the first round in the playoffs three times in 25 years so why do new draft picks act so excited to go to a losing franchise with 25 years of playoff irrelevancy? It’s like being drafted by the Lions or Bengals except we have five super bowl wins a quarter of a century ago.

Why on earth do people still equate winning on the field with the marquee teams? The Yankees are marquee still and have not won anything for over a decade. The Lakers and Knicks are always marquee. If you really think the Cowboys are on the same level as the Lions and Bengals in terms of their status, then I don't know what to tell you. Win or lose, the Cowboys are the most polarizing team in the NFL and probably the world in any sport. No one cares one bit about the Bengals and Lions unless you are a fan of them. they are irrelevant.

13-3 in years Dallas had easy schedules.

Dallas is "marquee" because young players know them as the team that was always on TV and failed when they were kids.

Oh boy. Great.

same reason the Yankees are a marquee team you may not know anything about baseball but you know the yankees

has nothing to do with any recent accomplishments (none for dallas) its because theyre the most popular team
