On a serious note. There was an article a year or two ago but I honestly don't remember if it was about the Saints or the Cardinals.

However it talked about a team being penny pinchers like that and the terrible conditions they had food and lodging wise during camps and such.

I wish I could find that article but I remember being amazed because it sounded like something you would see in a movie about a minor league baseball team with no money or something.
