Quick question for you playoff tiebreaker gurus - why do we need tampa bay to lose both games to get in over them if atlanta does not lose a game? 2ndly - Are if it is a scenario in which if Tampa drops 1 and its a 3 team tie with a team like chicago what other scenarios can happen for us to get in if atlanta does not lose? IE - if Tampa AND Chicago drop 1 of their last 2 and Atlanta wins out do we still get in? Obviously - this is assuming we beat philly.

We dont need Tampa to lose two to get in over them. If we tie with Tampa we get the spot due to tie-breakers.

based on my understanding from the NFLN what you mentioned is incorrect. however, they could be wrong.

If Tampa or Atlanta lose tomorrow and we win next weekend we're in.

We hold the tie breaker over Tampa by beating them.

Tampa has to win out, or we have to lose next week, for them to get in. IF we win next week and Tampa loses tomorrow or next week we're in.

That can't be possible... We own the head-to-head tie breaker with them. Thats the first tie-breaker used.

this according to NFLN is incorrect. I thought it was correct as well but NFLN said no lol.

We can do it....

TB plays San Diego and ATL plays Minny. Either one of those teams could win! I can def see Minny beating ATL. San Diego can pull the upset as well.....

Then its all on Romo and the Cowboys on the road, cold weather, most important game of the season against Philly. We win, we're in. We lose, Philly is in(assuming they beat Washington tomorrow, if they lose, then they are at home as well and TB and ATL will get in.)

This can happen!! Come on Minnesota!!! Lets Go CHARGERS!!!!

Whoever said we need Tampa Bay to lose twice is simply wrong. If we beat the Eagles and the Bucs lose one game (doesn't matter which one), we would win any tiebreaker with the Bucs, whether Chicago is involved or not.

If it's just us and Tampa Bay, we win based on our head-to-head win.

If Chicago ties us and Tampa Bay at 10-6, Chicago is eliminated based on its 7-5 NFC record (we and the Bucs would be 8-4), and we'd again beat Tampa Bay based on our head-to-head win.

We just need Tampa Bay to lose once. Or Atlanta to lose once. And we need to beat the Eagles, of course.

Yeah - just went to that playoff generator thing and it pretty much confirmed this. Idiots at NFLN had me thinking they were correct. Sorry guys! None the less this is good news!!!

It pretty much comes down to tomorrow... the Bucs or Falcons have to lose.

They both have cupcake matchups in week 17 (Bucs host Oakland, Falcons host St. Louis).

Oh, and of course we have to win next Sunday...

Very possible scenarios......

We still have a slight window of opportunity open for us, we must take advantage of it against Philly if TB or ATL loses tomorrow.:starspin
