why do we never throw deep from midfield?

one of my biggest pet peeves about garrett is we never take deep shots when we are at midfield or so.

the few times we have we have had success...the philly and green bay games for example.

here is what happens:

pass interference which will give us first and goal at the one.

interception in the endzone which is no different than a punt really.

interception maybe returned for twenty yards...maybe longer but not really 90% of the time.

we need to take more shots...we have the weapons.

quit playing scared freaking garrett.

We have alot of weapons, why does it seem we dont test deep?

or a minus 1 yard pass to whoever is willing to take the punishing hit they are about to receive.
