Why do we settle?

I'll give you a baffling coaching move. They took Felix Jones out of the game when he was in the process of taking the game over. As a result, they didn't score.

We saw this all season long with our backs. Why are we surprised to see it with a big game on the line? We just simply can't beat teams with superior talent on defense, coach tecmo is out of his league.

Our defense held the Vikings to 17 points for 3 quarters, Jason Garrett held the Cowboys to 3 points for 4 quarters.

Believe??? That requires an act of God to intervene and apparently Garrett wasn't plugged in on Sunday....

You make it sound like the Vikings did not have talent and our Cowboys were playing them on a nuetral field. Open your eyes. We were not favored, but it should have been a great game and was not.

I'm not happy to lose, but the Jets would NOT have beaten the Vikes yesterday. As for the Colts...well, they were a SB contender all along and Caldwell is just driving the bus. Good for him.

I do have some issues with some of our playcalling. Clearly the breakdown was at the point of attack with our offensive line vs their great D-line. It snowballed on us--no excuses. But early breakdowns resulting in only 3 points vs 21 points set the tone. And then the two Rice TDs--both amazing plays by Favre--killed us on the other end. Look at the replys on both of those plays and it easily could have gone the other way. I did, and I saw it reviewed on TV today at 11:30. They were showing how the Dallas D--for the most part until it all unraveled--was very well prepared.

You have to tip your hat to the Vikes...just wish it had turned out better for us. 31 teams do not win the title, but the higher you go the more it seems to hurt with the loss.

Didn't you get the memo?

We won a playoff game.

Don't ask for more than that.

Be content with that.

The Cowboys have become a mediocre franchise because the fans accept mediocrity.

what are "fans" supposed to do anyway?

if you don't like it, then stop being a fan, there is no other way around it.

I agree with Hos when he said he didn't feel this was a SB team. There was enough inconsistencies to make me feel they weren't quite there yet. Garrett's growing pains as an offensive mind.

I don't pretend to know as much about both the calling of a game or in evaluating a coach as a GM does.

I do think I am right in feeling that coaches should be able to elevate the potential of the players or at least get the most they can from what they have.

Having an OC that needs to learn on the fly while the window of opportunity is open doesn not seem like good business to me.

If a coach is not ready for the job he shouldn't have the job.

Uh, and maybe our defense allowed 34 points?

And the fat guy will give his fist pump regardless.
You know better than that. It was not the D yesterday.

Of course he knows the offense failed miserably. He is just wanting attention.

The Seahawks were in the Superbowl just 4 years ago and have won multiple playoff games in the recent span of years.

The Browns fans aren't accepting being a doormat anymore. They rose up and forced change or at least the idea that things will change in them prompting the organization to hire Mike Holmgren.

Cowboys fans, on the other hand, defend a loser like Wade Phillips who has made it a routine to get his team embarrassed.
Bravo sir, Bravo..:)

Those two rookie coaches were playing in an inferior conference this year and one has Peyton Manning.

Say what you want, but he's the league MVP for a reason and I think him and Indy will burst the Jets bubble next week.

NFC was extremely tough this year and the 'boys did a good job getting this far. While we ALL want that champion to be the 'boys, this wasn't their year.

No one is settling, but as has been ad nauseum the last 24 hours, there can be only champion.

Quoted. For. Truth.

Seeing that you are using those teams as measuring sticks.... who has done better during Wade's 3 seasons in Dallas: Dallas, Seattle, or Cleveland?

Anyone? Anyone?

I sometimes wonder if you could actually be a fellow Tarheel grad....but just in case it's so, I usually give you the benefit of the doubt :D

The cowboy fans favorite movie will be "Groundhog Day 2" starring Jerry Jones and Wade(Chris Farley)Phillips and special appearance by Jason(David Spade)Garrett.
