Some blame Garrett, some blame the o-line, and some blame the players as a whole. Then you have others who defend all three and state that there are no problems.

Why do you guys think we struggle to put up points?

I personally blame Garrett and the o-line. I think Garrett's biggest weakness is play calling, and the o-line is overrated (or it was before the Vikings game).

I blame Jerry Jones ... and George Bush.

You can throw Witten in there as well as he gets a lot of penalties.

Personally, I blame Garrett. His playcalling isn't good to begin with and it doesn't suit the O-Line. The playcalling plays to the O-Line's weaknesses (pass protection on passing downs). If the playcalling is more balanced, the opposing defenses don't know if we are going to pass or run and then they can't go full bore at Romo. When they can go full bore at Romo, they start making penalties and stalling drives.

Garrett is trying to make this a passing offense, but the personnel calls for a balanced offense that has an O-Line that needs to punch people in the mouth instead of laying back and taking the punch.

I think blame can be spread around. I don't think Jason is bad as some claim. One thing I notice with all fans when the team does not win they blame the play calling. Houston fan was in here it is the play calling? Some of it may be at time as is execution. I also think when this team is clicking it should be spread around in giving credit to coaches and players alike.

We also have more talent than most teams IMO.

If Garrett mixes it up and implements more play action passes as he did against the Texans they won't have a problem scoring points.

Yes we have talent we also do a lot of things to shoot ourselfs in the foot. Look if you want to blame it all on Garrett be my guest but he is not the problem you make him out to be. This team at times make dumb mistakes. If Garrett was that bad this offense would not be moving the ball as they do. But please you need a scape goat fine, myself I put the blame on all coaches and players alike when they fail to do the job but I also am willing to give credit when they have gone out and got the job done.

I think our biggest problem is our offense rarely gets off to a fast start.

It seems like we don't score until the 2nd quarter in some games. I can only remember one or two games last where we scored on the 1st drive.

We get points early, we score more.

I didn't put it all on Garrett. I just think he is one of the problems.

There has to be a reason we're not putting up points though.

So you think the players should shoulder a lot of the blame due to untimely penalties?

We even had trouble scoring points last year though.

Do you think Romo's just a streaky quarterback, or do you think it just takes the offense longer than most teams to get in a groove?

I think after a loss everyone should shoulder some blame coaches and players. hell the coaches are not jumping offside they are not holding the players are at time. Garrett is not throwing an INt or fumbling the ball players do and yes player share in the blame as does the coach.

There are calls Garrett makes I may disagree with but hell there were calls by Norv Turner that I disagreed with at times. I do know every single fans out there of every team when they lose the cry of it was bad play calling is right at the top of the complaints followed closely by the Refs did a bad job. It is so common it gets to be funny

Should Wade not take some of the blame for penalties? Under Parcells we were penalized much less than under Wade.

Yes he should and the players should it is a team game no one person is losing games when Dallas has lost games I can pick quite a few plays out where this guy or that guy did not do a great job I don't put it on one person because 1 person is not losing the games. BP had his issues with penalties to and when question he said what I did that is on the player BP did not take responsbility of the flags he put it on the guys doing it.

Man, this is an easy one. Drive killing penalties primarily. Also, poor play calling that often results in negative yards, especially in the red zone.

We were one of the least penalized teams 3 of the 4 years Parcells was here. I think we have the talent on offense except for maybe o-line. Everything else has to fall on coaching unless Romo, our RB's, WR's, or TE's are to blame also.

Is it poor play calling or poor line play that causes us to fail in the red zone? The o-line is doing a poor job of run blocking this year so far (they have had injuries though), and that can effect red zone scoring due to it being harder to pass in the red zone.

It can almost COMPLETELY be explained by missed field goals and starting field position. I analyzed the stats yesterday. Both last year AND this year.

On offense, 12 yards has been correlated with 1 point. Reference: http://www.profootballresearchers.org/Coffin_Corner/03-An-081.pdf

For 2009, we were 5th in yards per drive, 13th in points per drive.

If you increased our field goal percentage to league average, that gives us an extra .1 points per drive. If you increase our average starting line of scrimmage per drive to league average, that gives us an extra .2 points per drive. That puts us to 7th in points per drive.

Your right it is all on the coaches it is all their fault.

Happy, sorry I'm not buying it I see enough mistakes where players fail to execute to know better.
