Why does the media never call out or coaches (besides Parcells)?

No one ever calls our Zimmer, Sparano, Hailey, etc....

And beyond that, a complaint I had made last year during the season: When was the last time we developed players from within? Especially above their talent level.

I'll give you Tony Romo, and that has been nothing short of amazing.

But other than that, who have we ever developed that wasn't obviously a stud(Ware, Newman)?

they can not speak to them on a daily basis, the coaches do not have the relationships with the writers.

Parcells takes all the blame and all the credit. he does this to keep the coaches preoccupied with their jobs and not the media.

Without a personal relationship or the ability to talk to the assitants I think the media is reluctant to be harsh on these guys, and fairly so.

Parcells can be viewed as an egomaniac in this setup or very smart, all depends on the teams results and the perspective of the person asking the question.

One thing is for sure though, that is the way it is. Same as in Miami and new england.

When a company folds, do the middle managers get the blame or the CEO? When you get paid to be the top dog, then you take the blame when things are bad. As far as not developing players.. I would look at Columbo, Guorde, Crayton, Austin, Hurd, and lets not forget, that alot of the players that are being called bust, are only 2nd year players,, spears, canty, and in Carpenter's case, just a rookie. I think a lot of fans have fallen in to love with Fantasy football and Madden and expect college players to come in and "get it" right away. When they don't they are bust.

I think it takes between 3-5 years to really develop into a professional football player.
